I was wondering if anyone had a Fantic 2 stroke here on the forum, I’m guessing European guys and could tell me what are exactly the differences body work wise between the 2021 Yamaha and 2021 Fantic 2 stroke models? I didn’t wanna say 2022 Yamaha since they changed the subframe.
If you have a 2021 and you changed the airbox, the tank, seat and plastics you should have the same bike chassis wise, right?
I’m not too worried of the engine since you can get it built anyway. I know for the 250 it’s the same engine still for this year. I know the Fantic just has different jetting, pipe and a CDI with map switch, not sure about fly wheel?
It would be nice to have a “Fantic looking YZ 2 stroke” here in the US, it would be unique!

All the bolt holes appear to be in the same places as on my '06 YZ250, if that helps.

Yes that’s what I’m seeing too since they use the 2021 subframe.
I’m sure at least one person done this conversion already. Not that I would do it but it’s an idea to think about. Buying a tank, airbox, seat and plastic.

Start a build thread if you do it. Did you see that they are racing a 300 smoker this year? I would love to swing a leg over the two strokes and the 250fx they have

I would do it if I decide to. I have an RM125 that I need to finish first, I have been slacking.
I saw that Davide Guarneri is racing their 300XE which is the enduro model. I’m sure it would be such a fun bike to ride even in motocross. I’m wondering if they used a Athena 300 kit to build the bike or if they made a new cylinder. Props to them to keep developing the bike!
Idk if you have seen also that Minarelli which develop 2 stroke engine for Yamaha and also now with Fantic made a fuel injected / electric start 300 2 stroke for the enduro model and would like to put it into production for the 2024 model, maybe could be earlier.

Funnily enough, im looking at doing the opposite right now! I own a 2022 Fantic xx250, would u be potentially interested in swapping parts?

I didn’t buy the bike, it’s an idea I had if I was buying a YZ250.
I’m sure you can find someone in the UK to do that trade!
You don’t gel with the ergonomics of the Fantic or you’re just looking for something different?

I looked into this for a yz125. I couldn’t find a plastics kit anywhere, let alone a subframe or tank. I think they super cool. But just go get a r tech kit for $500 and some red and white graphics and you 96% a fantic. I’d love to have that XX250 tho😍

Bumping this up. Anyone have a connection to import a Fantic to the US or buy all the parts to do a Fantic 125XX replica?
