California is not business friendly at all. Taxes and fees are way too high. That's one of the main reasons Toyota is moving from there to Texas. And it's one reason why Texas is booming and Cali isn't.
They are the opposite, very business friendly. As are most of the Southeastern states like Florida, GA and SC, just to name a few.

Check your numbers in a few years when all the data reflects the business migration out of the state.
Silicon Valley is keeping you afloat but they have big problems as well.
Companies are heading to low tax states. Look where most of the new car assembly plants are being built, not there.
Hell we have 2 huge ones here in Indiana. Honda and Toyota.
But the prevailing reason California remains so damn expensive (taxes and all) is because there is still a lot of money flowing into the state. Supply/demand. That's what free markets do.
