Ktm all the way then. Not sure what your models are but prefer linkage. Maybe a husky but either way the 250 2t is going to be an upgrade from your 200. Yamaha is a good bike also, but the latest ktms have taken it up a notch.

250 XC? Moto worthy and built for harescrambles. Electric start as well.

Me too. But for enduros in a country that rains alot, the 2t is surely better.

The only reason to take YZ250 over a KTM is if you're buying used because you can buy a 10 year old bike for $2500 that is the exact same as $7,300 bike off the showroom floor. Why the hell would anybody buy a new YZ250? If you're going to pay $7k, then you might as well get a modern bike that is superior in every way and go KTM. The KTM 250SX has a tunable power valve, different maps, more power over all, way better brakes, better clutch, do I need to keep going?
I would be buying second hand but it would be either a 2017 or 2018 of either. Im just worried about having to mess about with a pump setting the pressures on the ktm.

The yz has nothing for the ktm. Trust me. The yz was a great bike in its day. Buy one 10 years old to try it out, Its the same bike

Ah ok. has it got lots of tractor power like the YZ? when i test rode the YZ it would lug down really low in the RPM’s in the woods. will the KTM be the same as i’ve heard that it may need a flywheel weight.

Ktm is more aggressive, but you can tone it down, but i find it to be very smooth and responsive. Transmission is better, remember yz is close ratio, not great for enduros. Chassis is just way better.
