I have that exact setup I put on my 15 yz250f because of the severe headshake I was getting on the high speed straights, it helped me a lot! If your looking to buy this setup let me know because I no longer have the yamaha. 500 shipped woth damper valved by factory connections

Does it helps only at high speeds or also in turns and similar situations?

My Scott’s Damper is unreal. I don’t know about moto, but off-road, I can’t think of a more rewarding accessory.

In my 60’s and still loving dirt scoots up here in the frozen north.

The HPDS isn't designed for high speed applications. The Scotts is about the best there is for that application...

Really thought about this one since it is out of the way, but there is no way I am going to drill holes in my frame. Perhaps if it had a bracket type mount like some of the other models do, I would try it.

I run that damper on both my '04 KTM 200 and my '06 CRF 450R. I love those things. Yes, I know
it's not meant to be a high speed damper, but with an oil change, it takes out just enough of
that head shake. I'd want a Scotts set up for full on desert stuff but otherwise, I like the HPSD.

You can buy the dampers all day long on eBay. Change the oil to something thicker and you're good to go.
