Man, it's been a long time since I watched 2004, it's crazy the things that stand out now.

1. Everything is cleaner. All of the bikes are simple and clean, especially the factory Yamahas, and there isn't that stupid claw plastered all over every square inch of everything!

2. The racing is just awesome! Kevin and Chad keeping it very close, but also very clean. No cutting across the whole track to take lines away, no cross jumping and cutting off each others wheel, just good clean racing. There were also a lot of corners where both inside and outside lines developed, which brings me to my next point.

3. The tracks were so fricken cool! The split start, the creative use of the tunnel jump, everything just seemed very unique. It also seemed like the tracks dried out a lot, but at the same time provided great racing and a ton of different lines, definitely no follow the leader going on.

4. Bring back Todd Harris and Cameron Steel! It's awesome how much excitement those guys brought, definitely makes the viewing experience a lot more fun.

I have to say, I don't know if it's the tracks, the bikes, or maybe just the riders, but it's hard to deny how much better the racing was back then. Tons of back and forth as well as unique tracks that really opened up opportunities to pass, just seemed like the excitement level was that much higher. Not to say the racing is bad now, but I think we can learn a few things by looking back at how things were done a few years ago.

Haha... Sorry Spydee!

JM485... I just think half the excitement is watching how hard they had to ride those things to truly go fast.

It's like the difference in noise from F1 5 years ago to now... snore!

Or the difference in noise and aggression from the 250 to 450 class... The 250s take off, reving the shit out of it, and cotinue to rev the shit out of it for 15 laps.

The 450s take off and then proceed to never break 4000rpm all moto with fuck all body english.

4 strokes are faster, but it was more exciting watching the top guys go mental on a two stroke in the 2000s imo.

Eckman and Bailey were far and away the best duo. Add DC as the track side guy and you've got that best team ever in my book. Todd Harris and Cameron Steele were not my cup of tea. They sensationalized things more than anything and couldn't offer input like Bailey, Fro or Langston. They could try to but it's simply not the same as when a champ states his opinion.

Watching 2004 makes you wonder what happened to the tracks.

It's like they forgot how to build them or something.

Funny how Damon Huffman back in '04 LOVED being called 'The Diesel', yet Dungey thought of it as an insult when it was assigned to him lol.

This is probably an unpopular opinion but I can't stand Langston. Wiegandt does a pretty good job, but Grant is like a 15 yr old who just had his first beer and is desperately trying to be the "life of the party". "turn down for what"

Flight to the Finish 91' is still my all time favorite. I wore that tape out as a kid and would always still cheer for Bradshaw to win the Championship even know I knew he didn't. Was a disappointment everytime... Hahah
