Whomever built that jump is an idiot. possibly the same idiot that screwed up my local track.
Last time I flat landed like that it blew my hands of my bars and I damn near went over e front of my bike. I remember after I went around the corner after the jump there was a dude standing there clapping his hands and nodding his head as if to say "You god damn idiot".
When I was younger and in better shape I might try something like that. Now that I am a vet rider I'm comfortable saying nope.. not for me.

That's how I feel now that I'm 26 with a wife and two kids! I pull up to some of our local tracks, take a look at some of the jumps and say no thanks

The kid powered thru the face of that jump for sure. I would be shut off 10 feet before that face
That jump sucks, it has absolutely no place on a motocross track...
...and for that matter, ruts and mud and dust and rocks and chop and sand and braking bumps and single to table jumps or any dirt that sticks to your fenders have no place on a track either....

Even walls have a transition. It's not literally a wall like we see here. Must be the same idiot that builds the landings at one of our local tracks.

Jake Pinhancos. Hes an up and coming kid. I believe he will be racing A at lorettas and could do very well.
They might as well get some perfect triangles from Exitebike for guys to bust themselves up on.
It really pisses me off when a track lets the wrong person run a dozer. I guess pushing up a pile of shit with no transition is acceptable to some. Just makes me wonder how bad the rest of the track is built.

Suspension looks balanced and setup properly. A bike does that on the regular when you hit a jump or land, or even hit big braking bumps. It means the suspension is actually working...
It looks like he OJ'd a little past where he wanted to be as there is a little roller downside. I always enjoyed obstacles like this, fairly low risk and requires some finesse and bike control to land smoothly and keep speed...
If you don't want to jump it, it forces you to learn how to soak up the face and power down the backside. Win-win in the training dept.
