On that note, being asked why you don't race SX like those guys on TV.

Or being asked how much money you make at the races.

Or being asked, "Why would you want to do that?" and having to explain it to someone who never has while they look at you like you're mentally unstable. (which we are, haha)

Industy people thinking pro mx is more important than the people who actually purchase the bikes, gear, parts, etc. Watching the pros is cool but does not hold a candle to riding/racing yourself. To bad there is not a resource geared towards that.

Topping off the tank and forgetting to replace the cap. For those of you who have been there, you know...

false neutrals, grips that you glued but still twist, changing tires in the cold, spoke nipples that are seized to the spoke, kx450 stock mufflers, having a rock hit your rolloffs and have the entire roll follow you, slipping clutches, picking up a new bike to realize that the knucklehead who built it rounded off your new tire, spending money on aftermarket parts that aren't as good as stock, putting your helmet on when its sweaty and cold, working on your bike in grass pits and you drop a main jet / small bolt, people who water jump faces, quads, shadows in the fall, people who ride faster in the pits then they do on the track, seeing the shadow of your bike coming to hit you when you fall.

- Seeing people suffering life-changing, debilitating injuries when they were just out to have fun.

- Families forcing themselves into financial ruin and sacrificing a child's future on their own pipe dreams.

- Costs escalating to a point where a passionate young teenager and his dad can't even afford to compete.

People that ask "how do you get tired riding a dirt bike all you do is sit there and give it gas?"

Not getting the proper "stance" in the porto-john due to boots and knee braces--then realizing there is no TP.

Getting your ass whipped on sunday and saying "to hell with this shit...I quit!" Then monday after work, washing the bike and the ol lady says "I thought you were quitting."

When the corners on your new graphics curl up and get dirt behind them.
