I wonder what the turn out will be from foreign riders with the possibility of them having to quarantine upon returning home. Thoughts.

I went down last year from Ontario and had a ball. Had all the plans in the world to go again this year but it is just not in the budget to head down and do the race and then come home and sit for two weeks not getting paid. Not sure how they’re going to call it “world vets” ,with no Foreigners showing up.

It will still be the Dubya World Vets but it will be missing some of the history of riders from all over the world. It might be smaller with fewer countries and foreign riders but it will still have the magic. The 2 Stroke race was larger than was expected. Hope anyone who gets to come and enjoy.

I went last year & did the package with Kurt Nicoll. It was first class from start to finish. Not sure if he has bikes available but if you are out of state/ country and thinking of going, give Kurt a call, you won’t be disappointed.

My guess is that there are some US based internationals that can help the event maintain a pseudo-worldly flavor this year. But it certainly won't be what it was last year. I hope to make it and rep for the Winged Hussars.

We already have riders from other countries requesting letters from us indicating they are registered to race in the US. Apparently they are showing these to obtain clearance to come to the race. It obviously will be significantly less attendance from outside the US but we will still have representation from some countries. We will be sending out a press release tomorrow regarding the race.

How many age groups down do you have to go to drop a skill level? Anybody know? I think I saw some dude race 40+ Intermediate and 30+ Novice or something like that. Or am I confused?

As long as we don't have to hear about mathes mediocre finish for the next year and a half, it'll be a great event.

To the best of my knowledge, you can drop down one skill
level per age group.

I sure hope that is incorrect. If that’s true, John Dowd and Doug Dubach would be eligible for the +30 C class.

Same!! It’s on the list for sure. Seems like such a cool event and one hell of an experience.

CMC, CRC all did that and as far as I know SwapMoto does too. I’ve personally only seen 2 or 3 guys do it, but it was always there as an option.

I went for the first time last year. It was fun. We went all week and rode Pala, and Milestone before it closed

That used to be the way it worked but we changed it last year. Now you can drop age groups as much as you want but if you're an expert you will race the expert class.
