With the approval of my wife my wallet decided to speak

After racing the local Full Gas Sprint Enduro in June I decided it was time to step up from the 125 to a bigger bike. It was hard to compete against 250 2 strokes in the grass track on my TC 125 so with the wife’s approval (as this is my 11th bike in 5 years) I decided to step up to a 250. Photo

I made the purchase in early July, I couldn’t believe I found a left over 2017 TE 250.

I’ve already made a few changes to the bike, Pro Circuit exhaust, Vforce reeds, TM Designs chain slides and guide, and thermostats delete kit. I was hesitant to step up to a 250 as I have always been a 125/150 guy, but his bike is so much easier to race than the 125 was.

Now throw a Rekluse Auto clutch on it and hit the woods. A friend of mine has a KTM 300 with the auto clutch, and it is amazingly easy to ride

Proper spoke with wallet thread.
Remove black bracket off rear fender or trim down to just hold the brake/tailight. Bolt license plate to back of airbox. Instant dual sport.

BTW, I had no idea those came with a thermostat. What temp was it?

Congratulations man! That’s a sweet ride. Are you planning on plating it? I’ve got a 350EXC & love having a tagged dirtbike. There’s no where I can’t go (within reason) & it’s nice when you pop out of the woods onto a backroad. You can keep on riding til you see the next gravel road or trails without worry of getting a ticket.

Edit: Also, being older now I really like having a tag because I’m legal in more places than not when out exploring in the mountains.

Told my wife I was buying a second bike. She said okay, just don’t bitch about not having any extra money. Lol.

Congrats on the new bike man!

I’m not sure what the temp of the thermostat is. I just know I didn’t need it or want it!

When you can take a look. I'm curious. Obviously they figure the off road models are going to be ridden in more water/cold/snow during off road.

Some bikes way back ran 160s.

"I told my first wife there's two times I'm gonna do what I want to do. And that's one,, when you like it. And two,,, when you don't like it..." Not the best tactic unless,,, you aim to have an ex-wife. Nice bike btw!
