Subject: Three MX Races Planned for 2022 at Denmark MX

We are planning on three MX races for 2022 (July, Augsut and October) at Denmark MX. The races will be completely based on having FUN!!! They will be two stroke and Vintage focused with less classes and more ride time. The classes will be 50cc, 65cc, 85cc, 100-200cc, 201-250cc, 251-500cc (Open), Vintage 70s, 80s and 90s. 50cc will run on our kids track and will also offer classes for the four strokes and pw50s. If you only own a four stroke you will have to race it cc for cc with the two strokes. Only $50 per rider with no gate fee and you can run as many classes as you desire. Big Pot Luck when the racing is done with open riding. If you have any questions or would like to help please call me at 920-905-9492. Thanks, Rick Anschutz

I’ll have to remember this. I didn’t even know this track existed!

I gave him a shot in 2017 and although I had fun racing on a track I hadn’t visited for 16 years or so, track prep was something less than impressive….if the dates work out may give him another shot

Been about 30 years since I raced there, may have to give it a go.

Does that track have a lot of jumps or is it more GP style? Hard to tell by the pics.

More GP style but the track is hilly and has some floaters that are fun cresting the hills

Couple more pics..

The start goes right up the hill again .

Last time I raced there (‘17) crashed and got my hand between the bar end and the ground. 13 stitches in my pinky finger.

I’ve been riding at Denmark since I was 4 years old in ‘89. Lived across the street from 9-18 and was involved in the club for a long time. I was there almost daily for many summers. The track is better than ever since reopening with the current owner. I still enjoy riding there.

Raced there in the late 90s, early 2000’s and loved it.
Let me know if you need an announcer!

I was a member there since 1990 we had our meetings in an old school house, a tornado destroyed it. Working at the track was a lot of fun. Practicing there it was hard pack and rough in the back it’s sandy. For a race it was tilled deep with wood chips worked in. In 98 1 race in practice the loam was perfect, the quauds blew the loam off. I always though it was great the last few yrs it was me and 4 vet riders mostly riding. There’s alot more sand added to the track in some parts. Pics r 4-24-21 cold rainy day. I may setup camp there for the month of May.
