Although a front flat took him out last week, I think his confidence is up and he'll be all business tonight...

Well they're keeping Honda in the mix, looks like Millsaps is willing to hang it out...

Team Honda is doing awesome...I hope Windham or Millsaps can get a little closer to Reed and maybe get some wins in there.

I think it's going to be Ferry though with the first upset this year!

Windham designed this track probably back in the fall. How many laps do you think he had already run on a simulated track similiar to tonight? 1000 ??

Hope he nails it! +

Awesome. How would it be to be around 30, not have a win in forever, to win in front of your home town crowd.

Congrats Kevin. Awesome

does anybody else find it a little WWF that they raced on a track designed by the guy who won tonight. I don't want to take anything away from Windham I am a fan of his, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Ferry hit Reed or Windham with a folding chair during the intros next week

I wouldn't go that far. Although he did design the track, that was months ago when he didn't even have a ride. I'm sure his efforts were focused elsewhere, like lining up a contract vs. building a replica of the track he designed or even trying to script the day of the race. LaRocco in Indy on his farewell tour. The moto gods work in mysterious ways.
On a seperate note, how many factory Honda parts do you think will be showing up on his bike next weekend? If offered, will he turn his nose to them and stay with what got him there? Perhaps a sticker/number change on Tedesco's bike for K-Dub?

Reed's Design is coming soon...Stewart designed one as well.

Like K-Dub said in an interview. If he really wanted to make it a sure thing, he would have designed an exact replica of his practice track at home.

He won, fair, and square !

Windham's design of the track was a general design(shape,arrangement,etc.). It did not include measurements or degrees of angle. Since the track that they raced on was not built until 3 days before the race, I would venture to say any attempt at a replica would be futile. It only takes a few inches or a few degrees to give any track feature a completely different feel. That being said, I believe riding a replica track would actually be a hindrance, by creating expectations(or creating habits) before riding the real track. It could very well have a negative effect on your ability to adapt to the new track.
