Maybe Yamaha signs a 3rd rider now that they lost JGR. Would only have Webb outdoors if they don't sign someone. They can probably get Wilson relatively cheap, and he is good, if he stays healthy!

Yamaha needs second rider as Reed hasnt been competive for long time. It was painfull to watch him race GPs this year without motivation. I think he milked out enough and Yamaha should take Wilson or someone who has future ahead.

I thought he was very competitive in sx last year, runner up finishes aren't easy especially when the guys you are beating are Roczen, Tomac, Barcia, Musquin, Canard, Seely.....

The only reason he raced the two GP's was because he was fulfilling his commitment to his sponsors.
It he didn't have to be there he wouldn't have gone.

I was thinking the same thing you were. People discount Reed as not competitive, but when you look at results he's definitely there. It's funnier when people say Reed is done but someone like Wilson is a better choice. Wilson goes well, but he's no Reed.

Good call bringing up the results from the vault. But facts in discussions here usually don't go too far.

I dont agree with what you've said there. Wilson was out to try get a ride for 2017. If he had a bike under him he would have been at MEC. I wish him all the best, luck hasnt been on his side but hes a hard worker and deserves a good bike !

I think the line between "competitive" and "competing for wins" often gets blurred. I think Reed is competitive for sure but less competitive when we talk about competing for wins on a regular basis.
