I totally get that entering a gnarly whoop section like that w/o any momentum is going to slow you way down (in both JA and CM's case) but like others have mentioned, you can't just pin it and re-enter after like it's nothing lol. Both guys for sure needed docked just for holding it wide across the floor, not just for skipping that section...in MacAdoo's case skipping quite a bit though.
In my opinion, the reason there is a difference in their penalties is Cameron went down, his fault... Anderson came to a completely blocked track at no fault of his own. If he wasn't on the gas all the way down to where he entered, I don't think there would have been a penalty.
Let’s face it. Macadoo was docked in one ironic twist of fate. All of a sudden. Poof.... the title fight now is a three rider battle all within a couple points.

On video it looked like he was blocked /about to be blocked. Avoiding the traffic jam was a good split second decision. He should have wheelied down the straight too, that would have been so cool 😎 . F U AMA, Jason is a no BS kind of guy. Peacock - make sure it’s in the highlight reel.

Lol, the Forrest Gump of supercross. When something important happens, he's always there. Tomac may have salvaged this, but . . .

Even when he's trying to stay out of the way he almost gets hammered.. Dude's like a magnet.

Are you sure the track was completely blocked?

Stills don't tell the whole story... Watch it at speed. Tickle coming down and Jason avoided. Read the rules. Leaving the track is not an infraction. Accelerating while off the track is. If he had cruised down the whoops and not blasted his way down there, no penalty. But he gassed it... It's on him. But it doesn't really matter what we think... The AMA applied the rules as written and he was docked 1 position.
But I guess, give them credit, they got the Clason call right.
Imagine the AMA is considering something.

Heck only a one position penalty. Makes it seem as if it was worth it to cut the track.
I say on these egregious track cuts you get a one lap penalty. Then maybe riders will stop cutting the tracks.
