I think there are two scenarios for this weekend. Either way, Tomac or Roczen is going to break out.

1) Tomac should be great at WW. He dominated the 1st moto there at the USGP. If he goes out and blows everyone away both motos it will bad news for Roczen especially with Southwick next.

BUT Eli may actually have trouble with the heat and high humidity. Yes, he is in super shape but if you don't train in Florida humidity you may be in trouble. Especially, the second moto...just like he did at the USGP where he clearly suffered from the humid weather back then.

2) Roczen trains in Florida. He is used to it. If he flat out beats Eli at a sand track both motos his confidence will go through the roof.

Going to be very interesting this Saturday. What do you think will happen?

Tomac is going to own at WW and Southwick. I base this on his sand riding prowess and also because I'm a Tomac fanboy

Ken's going to have to pressure Eli into mistakes from here on out. In a simple case of "who's the stronger rider," Eli wins. A little pressure though? Tomac chokes more than anyone who is as fast as he is should. (That is to say, not much, but enough for Koczen to steal the championship.)

I think Ken's mysterious health issue is going to pop up this week end in the heat. I hope not but I got a hunch.

team bakers factory would have to be in the mix given they train in florida in what I imagine to be very similar weather and track conditions all week most weeks. Surely Marv has to have some luck go his way, Cooper just starting to fire, Anderson sniffing round, and Zacho with a point to prove.

Yep, I like Anderson and Osborne to mix it up with the 2 favorites... It's not nearly as clear cut for me...

I think all of them including Roczen practiced at WW a couple of weeks ago. Has to be an advantage as well.

I'm thinking El Hombré is tired of not winning.

I would go with this and I am not an Eli fanboy.

Tomac owns Southwick for sure, but I wouldn't sleep on Ken there with his GP roots.

The next two tracks are soft, full throttle tracks that are more about railing and hauling ass than finess. I predict Tomac domination the next two rounds with Roczen and El Hombre coming on stong after Southwick. Call me crazy, but I see Webb being second fastest these next two rounds. He is light weight and rides that soft dirt pretty damn good. That's what I predict even if I'm wrong as F.

I find interesting that no one is mentioning Blake Baggett a Moto winner. But mentioning others who haven’t won a Moto yet

Im thinking Ferris likes the sand and gets a pair of sevenths...he wouldn't be particularly happy with that though..
Thinking Marv will have a surprise for Tomac and KR...

Two red plates coming in, anything can happen. It's way to early for a one horse race.

I predict the 1st moto is going to be a friggin brawl because of the surface they are racing on. I can't wait to see it play out. The second moto will definitely be telling about who can deal with the weather and who can't. Let's not forget that Eli had issues with the heat in his first season. He won that first 250 moto at Hangtown and then the heat got to him in the second one if I remember correctly and it took him all year to get right again.

I’m a Tomac fan, but I’m not sure the heat and humidity suits Eli.

Nope. They'll still go north and further east for the next round... Of course I had to look it up.

Bearing a huge get off by one of the top 5 this round isn’t series changing. But could set the tone for some awesome riding the next few rounds.

The heat will be the deciding factor IMO. I’d be surprised if Eli does well with it.

It's not only this weekend. Next weekend it's southwick and even in 2016 when Roczen completely smashed the field he had nothing for Tomac at Southwick.
I think Tomac will win both rounds and have at least a 2 digit point lead at Red Bud.

Maybe I'm wrong and Roczen has improved in the sand while living in Florida.

After practice this track is not gonna be like anything they are practicing on, I think it’s gonna be destroyed by the middle of moto 2, except having Florida sand!

Who can ride jacked up sand the best? Other than Herlings!

Tomac + sand in the AMA is like Herlings + sand in MXGP.

The dude is just on another level on our sand tracks. I wouldn't be surprised to see Tomac ran a lap time that's 2 seconds faster than Roczen.

Really? I know Tomac passed him, but Roczen was right on him at the end of the second moto that year. Hardly having "nothing for him"

I think this round should tell if Roczen really has some sickness or not.

Maybe I just remembered the first moto Whistling

But if you compare it to the rest of the season Tomac was A LOT better at Southwick. He went 1-1 there and only won 3 motos in total in 24 starts.
