So where does everyone think Tomac, and the rest of our 450 pilots will place against the insanely fast mxgp boys? I realize that some of our guys really don't want to be there but damn, you still got to race and I would like to think some of our top boys wouldn't want to lose on any track on our home soil? What do you guys think and where will we place?
Gajser and Febvre probably are faster overall right now. However, being on home soil with familiar surroundings really can change things. Tomac has the ability to be the fastest in the world on a given day. Doesnt appear that Tomac is currently in a position to show speed like he has before, but the possibility is there. There are several Yanks that could be faster, and this GP could go that way. Any mixing of finishing of Yanks and Euros could be both expected and understood.
Hopefully I didnt offend anyone by shortening geographic locations.

The MXGP guys have really been riding at a gnarly level the past few years. Especially last 2 seasons with Febvre & Gajser stepping up to the big boys the level keeps getting pushed. All in all it's gonna be awesome to throw some USA riders in the mix. Should lead to some awesome racing

Apart from Townley, as it stands now everyone is fit in MXGP, relatively speaking , Cairoli is almost back to where he needs to be, Febvre looked better in Frauenfeld, and Desalle is looking more like his old self.. so he will be in the deepest field he has been in for a long time. Tixier is back too, the only 'weak' factory seat is Jasikonis, and I don't know if he is going.
Either way it should be good.. assuming he races
Sounds like corner speed at this race is going to be the determining factor on this experimental "SuperCourse" style track design. The words "parastyle megadrop corner" are certainly intriguing..
"From the starting gate to the first corner, riders will turn their throttles wide open, coming directly at the grandstand crowd before turning onto a championship course to be filled with banzai jumps, faster, wider straights and twisting turns that will force the best to contort as they never have to traverse these unique corners. Among the many unique challenges planned will be the "parastyle megadrop" corner, where riders will blast from outside of the main fence line and drop in to one of the circuit's most challenging corners."
