Just as the title says. Just like how it seems that RV after retirement has loosened up and gotten more popular, will Dungey do the same? It's obvious that when these guys are at the height of their career, the attitude is very straight-laced and serious. We're kind of seeing that with Tomac now. But I hope Dungey becomes a little less politician-like now that he doesn't have the pressure of championships and sponsor obligations

I think you are failing to take into account personality types.

If you watched the Fox feature on Dungey, all of the guys in his family they interviewed said when he's with them, he drinks beer and hangs out like the rest of them. I think he has a public persona that's separate from who he actually he is. Of course he probably won't get crazy and hit beer bongs in front of a crowd at Washougal, but maybe we'll see him come out of his shell a little.

Oh for sure, he's a normal dude who can let loose. I'd just make the argument that having a professional/public side and a personal side IS his personality.

Yeah i think some feature I saw on him he was drinking beer and cutting up with his bros. Seemed like a fun guy behind the scenes. He just knew when and where to turn it off. Perfect Pro athlete if you ask me. Great dude.

Ever think it could be he has a laid back personality? And acts like a grown ass man...

What exactly do people want him to be doing?

I think the Dungey we saw in interviews wasn't really far off who he is in his personal life. With RV he was much diff than who we saw racing. He was sick of the grind, doing stupid interviews where he had to thank his Dunlops for hooking up, etc and it showed. It's awesome to see him now enjoying life and its made me a fan as I was always pulling for RD. Sometimes you don't appreciate the greats until they are gone and RV was an animal

There is a lot of money and a lot of pressure
Hard to know how you or anyone
Would act under the same circumstances
I though he handled it all like a champ

I think guys like him don’t get loose. They just get more successful. So all the loose ends hate on the success.

Hint: He is just a nice guy. Small town, hard working, and acted professionally the whole time. He doesn’t need to “Loosen Up”.

Only the guys who act like teenage girls and like the “Bad Boys” like Jason Lawrence didn’t like Dungey. He was very popular throughout his career.

Some guys look fast going slow, some guys look slow going fast. Dunge was the latter. I had the opportunity to meet him 2 times (randomly) outside of MX/SX. He's just a great young man. What you see is what you get with him. Tremendous ambassador for our sport.

I don't blame him one bit for being the way he is when in the public's eye.

In today's world, one wrong word/interview/sentence, etc. can ruin a guy.
