I know pretty much everybody in the UK that races sidecarcross... We are all pretty normal, there are 5 or 6 female passengers, some are daughters of drivers but don’t ride with their Dads, one is a sister that passengered for her brother but I don’t think she’s riding this year, one girlfriend that got into it by having a go now goes pretty fast with one of the other girls Dads, my Mrs practices with me and has raced 2-3 times... I had to word all of that carefully... It’s pretty much like regular moto, lots of families, lots of sons that get into it through Dads, a fair few brothers race together... I think you will struggle to find the angle that your after...

Wife swapping sidecar racers. Someone should pitch that to a porn company, it would be an instant hit!

I heard the green bike team had some wife swapping going on a time ago.
Also heard a past 2x champ and his wife were swingers. Might have changed now that they have kids.

You might have better luck speaking to some big name US supercross racers from the 90s...

They don't swap wives but everyone who works with Daniel Willemsen has a interesting story to tell afterwards haha! He's so hard on himself but also on his passenger. I remember him racing a Belgian Championship that he was fighting, both men on the same bike were hitting each other, when they were in the lead. Oh crazy Sidecar world.

Yup. He should go to some sidecar race and ask around a paddock. And take some weak as buddy of his with him to film it. I would like to see that ass whooping. He accepts nothing but perfection. Been that way since forever. That`s why he`s 10x world champion. He tried it once with a buddy of mine, but just once. He could brake Daniel in half. They went on to win two WC together.

Indeed, if they would follow him for a year you've gold in your hands. His fights with himself to make his own designs better for the sidecar, his struggles with his passenger. I dunno but mostly such people are also very absent in their family life so that would be a aspect to that you can show as movie director.

He deserves it at least as much as Cairoli and his movie.

To the guys freaking out about this, I admit this is a strange request... perhaps wife swapping is at the extreme end, but I'm curious how that kind of trusting relationships manifest off of the bike and in real life.

Don’t judge all of us Brits by the stag do, lads on tour brigade, it can be embarrassing... Good and bad in all nationalities and all that.

Daniel Willemsen is a hard man, cut from the same cloth as the old school 70s and 80s 500GP era tough guys... He has raced a bike in the Dakar just for winter training...
