Its done, sucks too because it was an amazing track for the fans to watch, just go to unadilla and use your X-ray vision to watch the races through all the banners lining the track.

I believe DC explained it a couple months ago, they removed one of the southeast PA area rounds to make room for one of the two new tracks on the schedule. The series is over before Labor Day this year.

Yeah! I've asked that ? twice on here and no response. If I could guess it is because the mighty $$! Davey and Feld got more from the new venues added. Steel City is by far one of the best tracks for fans to watch. If you watched SX this year and last, Monster was just raving over Utah and how how the governor loved having it etc. Maybe they thought that there was enough racing in the region, Mt.Morris, Unidilla, Budds Creek and 338? I'm guessing it was $$$$?

Or maybe it's because the southeast fans have been clamoring for a race for years, it's been promised to them, and it makes more sense to have that race at muddy creek than a second round in PA. No doubt it's a bummer to lose a race close to you. It was pretty cool when we had two nationals in northern California years ago.

No, it wasn't $$$, it was an attempt to move some races around to other parts of the country. Believe me, I hated moving my home track -- and my mom's race, on a track my dad built -- to another part of the country. I know how strong MX is in Pennsylvania, but we still have one of the 12 rounds at High Point Raceway, which is about 60 miles from Delmont. They were the two closest races on the schedule. Maybe one day we can start rotating them, though I am sure moving High Point would get me even more grief. Change is never easy...

Delmont is a great track, but the series really needed a race in the south. Similarly, I always liked Broome, but it never made sense to me to have two races so close together (Unadilla) like High Point and Steel City were.

I understand the need to get a track in the south. Major bummer, steel city is great viewing. Rotating the two races in the future would be cool. thanks.

IMO, it was a gutsy call to eliminate the "family race". It shows Davey's heart is for the sport and not personal gain. Rita and crew made a lot of changes at Steel City the last few years as well. It must have been a difficult decision.

Moving it for the money? Please people, get real.

Hard to see a track w/ so much history get removed from the schedule. I'll never forget the year that TP beat out Roncada in that epic battle to the end. Then watching TP celebrate on the last lap. Shit was EPIC!!

Call me Mr Info but, I overheard at the USGP that it was because DC couldn't get along with MxSports.
