The only time I remember a track being ran two times in a year was due to another track flooding. Is there really no other tracks worthy or fit for holding a national?

The old norba races were legendary.
Uphill, X-C, and the kamikaze DH was epic.
Rode expert, and semi pro DH here on the east coast.
But nothing as blazingly fast as that DH.
John Tomac in his skinsuit and 60 tooth chainring was a sight to see.
There are plenty of tracks that would be a great race track for a national, but from what I have read/heard, the tracks have to pay a lot of money to hold the race at their facility, along with a long list of upgrades to their facility to meet the demands of powers to be. Most tracks can not afford to do this and it just doesn’t make financial sense to do so.
As much as I like Mammoth and have spent the last 30 years racing there, it will never hold a national race there and without adding a bunch of new sections/ jumps, it doesn’t make for a national caliber track. Not to mention the logistical nightmare it would be, to get everyone back into the track.
