There is your answer.
Edit: Had to add the "there is your answer", because vitards go straight on hate mode, no time for video..

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say, because he wants to?

Give the guy a break. He was hurt when the season started & was not even suppose to be walking yet, the dude showed up & raced, So tired of people asking same question without knowing the facts.

Chad is still racing because he loves it, and he can. I'm not his biggest fan, but I respect the heck out of him. It takes guts to go out there like he's doing, and race in pain...knowing that your chances of a podium are, well...slim.

I'm sure most people here will find it shocking, but racing dirt bikes is pretty fun actually...

Huh? It's a stretch to think a 36 year old can go from a lapper to a winner. But that's what makes fans so interesting. Belief baby!

It's incredible the amount of fans who think a guy needs to dominate or pack it in.

People who have never raced in their lives calling all-time pros an embarrassment.

Chad Reed will never be his 2004 self again and he knows it. But on the right night, magic can still happen.

That's what makes racing so fun.

The same reason some middle aged Stan is still racing. Because this stuff is a blast. And once you are hooked, your hooked.

Nailed it. I was never really fast, and am definitely less fast now. But I’ve tried walking away three times and despite the last being four years off, somehow always come back, and the first 30 seconds on the bike put a smile on my face that barely fits in my helmet. Greatest sport on earth.

Nailed it. I seem to step away every few years but always keep coming back. Nothing else compares.

Serious question. Who here, that could maybe make a main out or indoors, would try it. I sure know I would. I think Chad is still pretty damn fast. I tell everyone who'll listen I'm fast. Way fast. And he'd smoke me

I don’t. But the fact that he’s still a top 20 SX rider in the entire world at age 36 is pretty bad ass.

I’m definitely no fan of Reed. I never have been. That being said I respect what he’s doing. He’s clearly not healthy enough to be anywhere near on pace but chose to gut this year out for his fans and his sponsors when he could easily watch this year from the comfort of his couch. The guy is clearly passionate about racing as well. I’ll admit it’s not a good look watching him come though the lcq but I honestly believe if he were healthy and able to train he would be a top ten guy every weekend. What to you guys not get about him being 36 and on satellite equipment without being healthy enough to train? Again I’m not a fan of him at all but good on him for not totally shitting on his fans like James has don the past few years.

The asshole is such a narcissist he thinks he's still relevant and capable of running with the fast guys when in fact all he does in get in their way. Wish he'd take a one way flight back down under and disappear forever.

Atleast he loves the sport total opposite of js7...honestly its pretty embrassing how he left all his fans hanging.obviously hes not killing but i mean he still makes the main easily. If he was 100% i could see him being 5-10 which is fine at his age. True legend

What’s so wrong with what JS7 did? Let the man live his life. If he wants to walk away from the sport and never be seen or heard of again then let him. Nothing wrong iF JS7 doesn’t love the sport anymore. RV2 hated racing all his 450 career I bet lol

Bad comparison, do you think reed could do any of the jobs of some the vital members? Some pretty smart people on vital.
