Why do motocross suspenders lack sag indicators like MTB suspension has?

Why do motocross suspenders lack the sag indicators that are commonly found on fork stanchions and shock shafts on MTB's?

Is it simply because of the coatings on motocross stachons/shaft don't allow for these decals/logos/stickers/whatever they are and may harm the seals? I noticed kashima coated stanchions on MTB bikes don't have the indicators.

I feel like it would be an easy way to set sag on a motocross bike.

Well that makes sense.

Perhaps that is why good mountain bikes cost more than an MX bike...

So many stupid responses for no reason lol....
I actually never seen that before and thats pretty cool! Would definitely help a lot of riders who do the bare minimum at least set their suspension properly

You tighten the chain and there goes your saft sag ratio.

Why dont you just take your lavish mountain bike and your lavish O-Ring sag checker and get the hell outta here and let us MX'ers set our suspension the old fashioned way!! With a old tape measure and someone awkwardly trying to hold up our bike while we sit on it!!

It's because a large section of this website have been over the bars and landed on their heads one too many times. It really shows.

Herd mentality.

OP, I agree. Having the gradients on the sliders is genius, it makes tuning my mtb fork a snap. My bet is that it would have something to do with the fork coatings (why we don't see them on dirt bike forks).

Vital mentality: somebody makes a dick comment that wasn't really funny, but the herd thought it was and now every unoriginal douche chimes in with something also not funny.

Have you used air to the set the sag on your MX shock? If you had a thousand different rear springs to try until you were at 30% or whatever you were shooting for sag wise you could use a indicator. But we use springs that need to be the correct rate then tensioned or loosened to get to the sweet spot. You aren't just adding or subtracting air until you are perfect. Make sense?

Its because when you then check and the numbers on the shock spring and then when you do thats when you have to also. Understand?

Forks maybe, shock no.
