I thought he had to enter the track without gaining a position. Peick was two riders behind him after he re-entered. At the very least maybe he should have entered right in front of WP34.

I'm not sure I get the rationale. He lost positions in the deal.

Also, he wasn't accelerating up the side of the track, matching the speed of the guys who are still on it, like Jason did.

I know it's popular to say Monster has a say in it because they're a series and team sponsor. Get outta here with that weak stuff.

That was a shitty spot to get punted and have to re-enter. He was pretty cautious navigating back through to the track so I'm not sure what he'd get docked for.

He was clearly looking for a place to re enter but there simply wasn't one. He was cautious and didn't gain positions. What else is he supposed to do??

Where did peick even go in that video. It was a magic trick. 2 red bikes go off triple and then peick. Barcia enters in front of 1 red 1 yellow and a white

That is confusing. I had to watch it a bunch of times. The two Hondas and Peick have landed, taken the corner and are gone by the time Barcia gets on track. When he re-enters the track it's with a whole different group of riders who were behind him when he went off.

I saw some metal fences that prevented him from getting right back on.

That must be the softest "slam" I've ever seen. But, not sure how he could have done that any better, clearly looking to get back on and where an opening in riders are, while basically idling around

It is not at all "weak". RV used to hold it wide open along the rhythm lanes and never saw a penalty. AC has skipped the first turn on numerous occasions, plows through tough blocks, and never sees a penalty. Just seems strange that bikes with a Monster claw rarely, if ever, see silly penalties.

Watching Jason carefully pick his way through the area where the truck was, I don't think it's remotely the same.

What's interesting is that if you actually talk to the officials and get their explanation for each issue, it generally makes more sense than a short line on the results sheet.

In Jason's case, apparently told the officials, "I was going the same speed as the guys on the track." (Or something similar.) Speaking as one of the guys who stands on the side of the track each week, I tend to agree with the way the officials played it in his case. If a rider comes off the track, he probably shouldn't be going the same speed as the guys on it.
