How good of a rider do you have to be to notice 2-3 lbs of difference? I moved from a 2015 KTM 300XC to a 2017 Husky 300TX and I cant tell the difference. The 2017 is actually about 8 lbs lighter. Unless I rode them on the same trial back to back, I probably would never notice. And even then I might not. But I could notice the difference between my Husky and my buddy’s 2018 Honda 450 RX. That thing is a PIG!
Trust me, you don't have to be a great rider. I went from a 2012 KX450 to a 2016.5 KTM SXF450 FE. The KTM was close enough to 20 pounds lighter w/Ti pipe. I could tell the difference immediately. Out on the track and simply putting it on the stand.

very frustrated why weights are not listed. i have 2ea 07 crf 450 one is stock and weighs 226.5 lbs and the other is 209 lbs (both w/ no gas) i ride them back to back and i promise it is noticeable, very much so. i am trying to get it to 207 lbs and looking for weights of chains, supposedly there is a Renthal 2.2 lb chain, but they dont make it anymore. so far the lightest i have found is 3 lbs 12 oz for a 120 link did ert. looking for help from someone that has done the chain research. help please !

Sometimes you just need to break out the food scale or bathroom scale. For example, i compared the stock pegs on my Alta MXR to the Tusk Billet Race footpegs and they are 59 grams lighter each. Saved 1/4 lb and now have wide, grippy pegs!

I bet you saved nothing installing that full titanium exhaust?

Sunstar MXR1, also sold under the RK brand, was the lightest on the market a few years ago.

Why is everything so generic and vague with motocross parts?

15% lighter than standard steel pegs...ok great mine isnt steel stock so how much lighter is it?
40% lighter than steel sprocket.

How about listing the actual weights?

Stainless exhaust $450
Ti exhaust $950
Is the 500 difference worth it? No clue, no way to even guess without knowing the weight savings as they are never listed. What are you getting for your money?

Same goes for hp claims. Ive seen some cam, exhaust, ignition bundle packages listed for specific bikes. They have to know the hp it adds or a damned good guess, and still no mention of gains...
FMF listed weights a couple years ago. Not sure if it's changed.
