First let me say I'm a big fan and have been since seein him put an Omara style small bore whippin on the field at Budds Creek in 07 MXd.......

but why oh why does he keep callin out Jeff Fox on the podium personally??? Thought he retired from the mighty PU helm years ago?? Ii mean why not keep thankin Mitch if anyone?? just curious..............

Haha.....I have caught RV doing this a couple times over the past couple years. "He can't thank them"...........Why not?....didn't they help you out? hehe. Tell him if he adds the word "Enough".........it may help with the overall thanking part of the speech.

Fox and RV are best friends. Fox is still a stake holder at PU but owns his own business now. When RV wins his championships him and Fox always go on huge hunting trips somewhere around the world! Fox is a really cool guy and so is his entire family!

guess the guy with the money makes the rules and I guess if you need your ego stroked you make the guy on the box thank you personally instead of your company or your brand............

That would sound about right. From what I have seen he is pretty ruthless when it came to how he dealt with Parts Unlimited. A lot of guys had their stuff knocked off and sold as Moose or whatever.

I'm assuming he was being sarcastic. You'd have to be a heck of an egomaniac to do something like that. You just heard from another poster how great the family is, so it doesn't seem to fit that he would need his name mentioned to make him feel good.

absolutely false for mgifracing, he is not running PU at all, he was sidelined by Fred, his old man, after taking the company to a place where cash flow was very thin, too much spendings, too much sponsoring, not enough sales. Old man and his crew took over, did some cleaning and took it back into safe waters with better balanced budgets.

Jeff might have some influence on riders contracts but ultimately, Fred and his crew give the green light or not.
