Who's the most often injured Vital member ..

Since this is in the Moto related section it seems that your injuries should be from moto to qualify.
(no offense to you car accident ,snowmobile, base jump, bungee etc.. guys)

I definitely don't have the most injuries but here is my short list all from motocross. I've never been injured doing anything else.

Right side
right collarbone =twice
right wrist = two times pins/screws needed second break
right shoulder= dislocated
right lung= collapsed

Left side (all of this list in one crash)
left humerus= snapped at the ball three pins 12 weeks immobilized
left side of pelvis= broken many screws and plates still in there
left hip socket= shattered by the femur ball being shoved through it ,much metal
left femur =broken at the top (rod in femur it's a keeper)
left mid femur= snapped like a twig and then overlapped by a few inches from the muscle pulling it together
spent 4 months in a wheelchair and 5 surgeries on that one.

Left side different time's from the last left list
left knee=ACL twice screws still in tact
left knee=MCL completely destroyed/removed
left ankle= crunched by foot peg into a whoop still snap crackle pops twenty years later

head= two concussions knocked silly

I'm very thankful I never had any neck/spinal injuries or any serious head injuries.
I know people with back injuries that have their quality of life ruined.

If we limit it to just this week...I think I may be the winner as I proceeded to get the crap kicked out of me severely by at least 15 Vital MX members after my last post! They say the mental scars are the toughest to heal......wish me well.
My apologies to Tiki for my douche response to his light hearted jab.

and the removal of the pastrana bone...don't forget that. Smile
They have a similar procedure for the Alessi bone as well. I am sure it would be much more difficult as you are so deep inside, but I am sure there's a glimmer of hope for you.

I think CamP is right , nobody wins this contest, maybe we should call it
" THE BIGGEST LOSER" lol.

I've stepped down to a 250f and a ttr 125 some days I'll ride the ttr more than my big bike , same fun factor and a lot safer. I'm also on the hunt for an RM125 two stroke. I've had the hardest time finding a late model 05 or newer.

Head: Somewhere around 6 to 8 concussions w/ loss of conciousness. Once I had vertigo for about 2 months until a visit to the ENT doc fixed it up. Balance has never been the same since.

Neck: na

Shoulders: In the last year I broke both collarbones for the first time. Been riding for 32 years and racing for 25. Broken scapulas on both sides. Did anyone ever mention they say that's the hardest bone in the body to break?

Ribs: several versions of 2 or 3 over the last twenty years but last Oct. I broke 4 w/ the collarbone and punctured a lung on the right. This July I broke nine on the left side and deflated my left lung. Two chest tubes and two days on the vent along with a week long hospital stay for that one. Almost died in ER due to an extra hole torn w/ the first chest tube.

Arms: na

Elbow: na

Wrist: na

Fingers: 2 or 3, mostly wrestling in hgh school

Back: T5, T6 in 2003, T1 past July

Pelvis: left side in '98, tailbone in 2004

Legs: rt tib/fib back in '78 when I started riding, left fib in 2002

Knees: left MCL tear (partial not full)

Ankle: no fractures but more sprains than I care to remember

Toes: none that I remember

Internal: two months of vertigo from a good head whack that left an inner problem. this was one of the most dibilitating things I ever had happen. Deflated lung from rib fractures. Loss of my mind when I got on a dirtbike at the age of 4. I can't seem to get away from them.

All of my broken bones except the first tib/fib have come since I was 25. I'm 36 now. I've had more big crashes that resulted in no injury than I can shake a stick at. I'm going to take it easy for a while now and ride for fun. The last one left a mark.
