Who was the best minicycle rider of all time?

I got into the sport when Ezra Lusk, Jeff Emig, Jimmy Gaddis, Jimmy Button and Buddy Antenez were the fastest guys. I know RC,RV,Stewart and Alessi were all fast. I got to see many RV, Alessi and Millsaps battles at Mossier, Ponca and Whitney in person but I never saw any before that. I watched AC race since he was on 50's. I saw a hell of a race between him and Tomac at Ponca in the 80 open class one year. So, I would add them to my list. Also, what about guys like Kehoe and Bradshaw?
My list would be.

Forgive me, I don't follow the amateur scene much, but are you saying you saw AC & Tomac race each other? I never would have thought that would have overlapped enough in age to race each other.

Depends on if they have already graduated. Jett Reynolds is breaking all records, he's only on 65's and won more titles than anyone by a country mile (yes I understand there are more titles to win now), he also took down DM18's Loretta record as the only one to win both 50 7-8 and 65 7-9, Jett did it winning all moto's DM did not. The kid is the real deal and he looks amazing on an 85.

Alessi and AC have been dominant pretty much their whole mini careers. I remember Justin Buckelew being hard to beat on 80's as well.

What about LL titles?

I think that is the bench mark for being the best AM rider of all time.

As a kid, for me it was Brian Myerscough and Jeff Ward. Of course when they came to Rio Bravo and had Shawn Kelly show them the fast way around the track......Wink

There have been a lot of great mini riders. Some did/are making an impact in the pros, some didn't. It's a long list.

He is the ONLY one to EVER win all moto's of 50's and 65's the same year, claiming 2 titles that year. He's had really bad luck there up to that point. He was considered the one to beat all four years of 50's but had painfully bad luck. The Cobra factory mechanic forgot to refill oil after changing a clutch between motos, DNF's / crashes don't win motos. The factory's like Winter O titles, JS&/Freestone titles, Oak Hill titles, Dodge titles, World Mini titles, Now the Cal Classic titles, etc, they all count. So much so that Kawi consider's him the AC replacement / the "next big thing".

I hate to sound like an asshat (which I know I do), but FOR REAL, if you saw this kid ride, mind = blown!

Once bobby bonds got on big bikes he was lethal, super aggressive and scary fast. James stewart won 99% of the time, jimmy Nelson took the 1% from him at world minis. Michael and davey had the biggest rivalry, sometimes it was a bit insane how far it went on both sides! my brother still doesn't eat the yellow skittles because that was the color of his competition growing up. In my group growing up it was hill Osborne izzi w.Hahn canard and we all shared the podium a lot as we were all very similar speed, hill killed it at Loretta's tho he was very hard to beat there because he never did Ponca and was always on top of his game physically. Michael was pretty dominant once millsaps moved up to the bigger bikes, I think he only got beat strait up in 1 moto at Ponca when RV was riding yamahas still n that was when Kawi signed him I think that very weekend for the following year.

Adam Cianciarulo get my vote.

I didn't think anyone could eclipse James Stewart, but look at the title count , which is really how we measure dicks around this sport.
