Seems there are several companies making wheel sets but most are fairly heavy compared to stock.

Who makes good quality light wheels?

I would think Kite, or Talon makes those hubs with carbon centers.

SM Pro wheels are pretty light weight from what I recall. I have a set on one of my bikes and they’ve held up great. You can definitely shed some additional weight running Michelin tires over Dunlop, and lightweight tubes

I believe Warp 9 makes Ti spokes as well that save a good amount of weight.

Dubya has carbon and aluminum "lighter" hubs and I believe you'd use stock spokes with the al. nipples to build the lightest possible wheel...?

Are the LTX rims the lightest?

Talon carbon hubs maybe? Kite? Dubya will have them. Not going to be cheap though....

I'm stoked that I'm used to MTB pricing on parts. Yes, I realize there's a big difference between the ceramic-bearing, carbon-hoop offerings for bicycles, but when I look at custom replacement wheels for moto all I can think is how affordable upgrades are.

I’m not sure the aftermarket hubs are actually lighter than the stock cast ones. The ti spokes definitely save meaningful weight though.

Faster USA makes their hubs in house and does the proper testing with main event SX racers, pro MX and pro off-road racers. We’ve been running them for years and I compare the to Other premium hubs. Colin the owner, has seen it all and designs their hubs and builds your wheels up to your spec and budget. Give him a call.

For weight? KTM

But that is not most racer's concern in wheels, unless it is purely a scale exercise.

If it is a purely scale exercise, your best results will probably being using a mix of KTM's hubs with somebody else's exotic bits.

The KTM hard part wheels like what come on a factory edition are fairly light and still strong and could lace them with warp 9 titanium spokes but I haven’t seen any solid reviews on their ti spokes yet. I personally wouldn’t want a wheel blowing out.
