3 main events ? Woo hoo. I likey
Best night of racer ever about to happen. 6 different winners. Lots of feel good spread around.
I do not understand this new format, im sure its been asked before, but what is the ELI5 (Explain to me Like I am 5 yrs old).
3 mains? winner chosen from each? no overall for the evening?, will it be 3 sets of seperate points by way of the 3 mains?
The racing has been different this year with the drop of the semis. Doesn’t seem like much racing but this is what people wanted and I am sure the riders. Seemed like a waste with last years format having too many heats so these multiple mains are nice.
I’ll be honest I forgot was three mains I think that’s a lot I thought would be 2 with the dropping off the semis from last year to fill the void I figured all events wouldn’t be two mains now.

You're way over thinking it bro lol. Where ever they finish in each 3 main events, they get that many points for the night. Overall race winner and race points are based on the lowest amount if points for the night. So if Anderson goes 1-3-4 in the 3 mains, thats 8 points. If Marvin goes 2-1-2, that's 4 points. By the end of the night you want the lowest amount of points possible. Ya dig?
Positively, absolutely 110% obsessed with anything MOTO.
No points per moto, Olympic scoring determines overall. Points paid for overall finish. Tie breaker goes to better finish of 3rd moto. Same amount of points as a standard 20 mimute main. 26 to overall winner, 23 to 2nd, etc.
Well, I’d say I’m more old school, and with that being said, I’d not say I am “stoked”, but I am feeling rather intrigued on how the evening turns out.

Yeah at this stage it’s called the points lead!!???
I am. This is gonna be really, really different and has a ton of potential I think. With the two big guys out some short mains I hope we see a lot of guys going ballistic for a win.
Yeah, no, You know, Im definetly pretty pumped for sure
Titanium reinforced throttle wrist since 18/05 2007
Whoever wins the 3rd main is going to carry that momentum into next week. Wondering how the shoulders will hold up for Marv and Eli.
Im excited for something different. 3 mains might have a different feel and be a little more exciting than the off-season MEC. Tonight its for points! MEC money is great but this is where you earn your ride/living.

The change is awesome- They needed to do this a long time ago.
Current rides-
1988 RM250
2021 GasGas MC450
Looks like we will see the top 450 guys out on the track for roughly 40 laps tonight. Which is way more than we are used to, so that’s a plus.
We actually get to watch less races, but the ones we do watch mean something. It was 4 heats, 2 LCQ, 2 mains so 8 "races" for the night show.
Now 6 mains, I am excited to see how it goes. I would rather watch 6 mains with all the top riders, that is better than seeing more racing but they are just qualifying heats.
I have a feeling it will be a success and this will be the new format for next year.
More exposure for the top riders and more opportunities for guys to get moto wins and podiums (yeah those don't count in the record books but they do count for TV time which is sponsor exposure).

I thought 2-1-2 would be 5 points. ?
I just hope each moto isn't so short that it's just finish in whatever order you started in. That's my concern. It's been startercross more and more the past few years but this could lead to literally no passes.
Are you smart enough to buy a bike that costs less, weighs less, makes more horsepower per cubic centimeter, can be rebuilt for recycled aluminum can money and is giggle inducing? It is hard to believe that the American riding public flunks this test en masse. How stupid are you?

It is and if that's the lowest score of the night after all 3 mains/motos that rider gets the overall for the night and 26 points towards the championship.
"Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower."
As it has been stated, this is MXoN style results to determine the overall. Lowest combined score after the 3 mains set your overall.
Win all 3 mains (1-1-1) then you have 3 points putting you ahead, and first overall, of someone that took 2nd each moto (2-2-2) and has 6 points.
You can go 9, 1, 1 (11 combined points for finishing 9th and two firsts) and lose out to someone going 4-3-2 (getting 9 points for their main finishes)

That many beers and you won’t have any six packs

If you're old-school, then you might appreciate that this is a bit more like real motocross.
F1. MotoGP. MXGP. Screw the rest.
