Who is excited for mxon?

Tomac, Barcia, Jmart. Nobody touches that team at Red Bud for MXdN. If USA send anyone else, it will be a struggle.

was super pumped when it was announced....

looking over ticket/package prices definitely took some of the wind out of my sails....fucking expensive! but, it'd be my first des nations and it is very rare that we get to host.

it's even more rare when we get to host in the middle of a long windless streak.

so yeah i'm still pumped.

Got a couple of buddies to go. We purchased VIP gold tickets, $700. Booked a flight from SANTA Barbara to Ohare, $313.00. We decided to stay in New Buffalo near the casino, suite was only $105 a night. Car rental 5 days $245, Costco mid size.

Hit the casino, pay for the trip. LOL

thinking about going.

Born in St Joseph MI.
Grew up 5 miles from Red Bud in Berrien Springs MI.
Qualified at my 1st Pro race there in 1984

Gone to MXoN at: Unadilla NY, Budds Creek MD, Denver CO so would be wrong to miss the USA's 4th MXoN.

Let’s hope Eli stays healthy, we r running out of options.

So as it stands now is this what team USA will look like?

Tomac
Barcia
Plessinger

There are two fast guys to go with Eli but we would have been much better off if we had Anderson, Osborne and Jmart to work with

I don’t see a problem with that team winning. I will be surprised if US doesn’t win it (barring any freaky stuff happens of course).

But of course, now that it seems Ferrandis is getting freaky fast, and unless any shit happens to him before then, he might be the fastest 250 rider in the world by then. So Marvin, Ferrandis and Paulin/Febvre might have something to say about where the Chamberlain Trophy shall end up.

So on paper I can’t see anyone but US or France winning it. But the ball is round (most at least), so you never know ?

Anyone need a hotel? I booked when it was first announced. I have decided to camp at the track now. It is for Fri and Sat night at the Quality Inn in Niles Michigan. Just minutes from the track!!!

Let me know what we could work out to transfer to you!

Purchased my airline tickets (flying into Grand Rapids), booked my rental car (Enterprise had a special on F150s, sweet) and booked my hotel room back when it was announced. I've got a couple buddies taking their RV's up, but wanted to have a hotel room just in case for guaranteed showers and a comfortable spot to take a power nap at some point.

***I booked two hotel rooms just in case but will likely only need one; two queen beds with a pullout bed in the couch*** Hilton Garden Inn Benton Harbor / St. Joseph (about 17mi from the track).. so if anyone needs my second room, let me know and I can transfer it to you***

Just need event tickets... Sounds like my buddies are down to fork out the $$ for Silver VIP... So think we're going go for it..

Any idea when they'll release the new start design / other track changes??

I am super excited as well. Never been to Red Bud before and I figure this will be a great way to see it for the first time. My rad wife agreed to go as our 10 year wedding anniversary as seeing a MXoN is a bucket list item for me. We are spending time in Chicago and driving over. So pumped!

Let me tell you guys something.

I’ve been to 2 of them.
Unadilla and Budds.

Whatever it takes, spend the money.

It’s an event you will remember the rest of your life.

I second this. You have to do it at least once. And after you do it once, you'll go every chance you get. I'm still scraping together pocket change to go this year, but one way or another i'll get there.

Flights booked from Australia, vip gold tickets booked, renting an rv and camping out at the track.
Tickets booked for the monster cup the following weekend.

Not a bad honeymoon if you ask me!

I'm really hoping to be there. I can't wait for it either way, MXdN in the US are always cool. Team USA have to be heavy favourites, but in all seriousness a team USA win would probably be good for the event for the years coming.

USA were the heavy favorites early in the year and then we lost both of our top two 250 riders and the open rider. Plus a lot of people like me assumed Bagget would be a lot stronger this year. Tomac, Barcia and Plessinger are still probably the team to beat still but it wasn't the knockout it was earlier espically going against Musquin, Febvre and Ferrandis. The big advantage was going to be Osburone or Martin IMO without them it will be close.

I have always been "excited" about the MXoN (MXdN).
Call me an old timer if you want but I feel this event holds great interest and importance to me personally.

Yeah I'd agree with that. Certainly will be closer than previous MXdN on US soil. Marvin and Ferrandis are probably both capable of winning their class there, and you could say that both everyone on the US team has the potential for inconsistency. It should be interesting. If I had to put money on it though, I would bet on the USA pulling it together on the day.

This event can't get here soon enough... Less than 3 months... Get pumped bros, get very pumped...

Is it bad that I'm getting married next month but my mind is more fixated on the MXdN trip than it is our honeymoon to St. Lucia?? Is it bad that I posted that on a public internet forum?
