IMO this doesn’t make sense.
Give us the low down Vital big wigs. You guys are taking a big L with the loss of ML.

About July of last year I took on a “testing” only gig with Vital and removed myself from my full time duties. Klinger was hired on to assist with some of my prior duties and some new things, and in late December I decided I wanted to start something for myself. This was mostly because I had an idea that I think I can build into something and gives me the ultimate freedom to produce whatever content I desire. So over the past two months I’ve slowly transitioned out of all my responsibilities at Vital so I can focus on my own project.

There will be a new face joining Vital here pretty soon as well. In the meantime, Klinger is new to the staff but he’s a good dude and will be working hard to get out content this group will enjoy. If anyone listened to Pulp last night I sorta glanced over what I’m doing now with a YouTube based testing program but I’ll explain everything I’m doing tomorrow in a post I was working on.

You guys need to try other sites sometimes. Klinger has been around testing and writing for a minute now.

https://www.dirtrider.com/authors/sean-klinger

https://www.cycleworld.com/authors/sean-klinger

https://www.motorcyclistonline.com/authors/sean-klinger (Beta 500 vs. Africa Twin)

http://www.advpulse.com/author/klingers/

As many have noticed, he brings more Off Road to the site, a very welcome change since the industry is now well over 50% off road. I have my fingers crossed, we may even see a Beta test Woohoo

Exactly. If we gave a shit about the content those sites put out, we'd look at them.

I didn't hire Klinger, just pointing out the truth. I suggest if you don't like any of his article theme's, don't click on them and those that do like them should click. Vote with your click.

Do you think there's a chance that the decision was made based on past clicks, or studies done of other sites traffic? I'm pretty sure the traffic around here keeps getting thinner, much like the MX world.

Hiring Klinger wasn’t based off of off-road content views.

ML I saw on Instagram you bought your own bike. How bad did that hurt your soul?

As a lighter guy I figured you would have a 250F as a personal bike, I was surprised you went with a 450.

Jeez, I hope he wasn't the low bidderWoohoo

Seriously, Good Luck, I'm subscribed to your YouTube Channel.

If that unlearned guy at Dirt Bike Channel is making a living and buying his own bikes to test, You Will Kill It!

Subscribed to Michaels You Tube Channel and liked his videos. I enjoyed watching them. I can never get a bike like this now but sure would have when I was younger and still enjoy watching these things and dreaming. ?

I mean, I had bought six of my own bikes from when I was 16 to 20, so it wasn't that bad....but it was weird...

I'll still be getting loaner bikes from OEMs, but I've also decided it would be a bit easier to have some personal machines again. I'll probably pick up one 2020 450 and one 2020 250 when they come out. No sure which ones, I'm already thinking about it though...

As for the KX450, it was my Shootout pick for the year so I'm putting my money where my mouth is.

Maybe I missed it but it does seem odd that Klinger did not pop into this thread to introduce himself or respond. Comes off as either aloof or disinterested that members are curious about him.

Some people like to dive headfirst into forums. Others less so. Smile
