There's a thread already that says there's some creedence to what Matthes said about KTM signing Broc Tickle away from RCH for the 2018 season.

I think, if it's true it's a good solid call...but who can they be gunning for that they are signing a rider like Tickle? Broc's good...but he's no threat to win. Podium, maybe...overall, no. KTM is obviously holding back some funds for the "right" rider.

Who else is available for 2018 that would be a potential threat to win to pair with Musquin?

Well I'm not sure what blakes contract with his team is but he's proven he can win motos. SX I don't think he will be a threat to win so I'm really not sure who they'd be waiting for. Barcia? I don't know

Barcia realistically isn't a threat. Plessinger, Savatgy or Ciancarillo maybe?

Where does this urgency around filling a "spot" come from? "Spots" are arbitrary. Why does it matter they run a second bike? This is a recent phenomenon. It makes me uncomfortable. I need to abuse something.

You guys sleep hard on broc tickle. We have a joke that he gets 4th in every single race in fantasy sx/mx. And hes quiet and low maintenance so who knows if he is like cooper webb and doesnt like his bike, and the ktm makes him a championship contender?

He doesnt look like he rides over his head and is constantly top 5, or top 10 on a bad day. And im sure hes not making huge money. You know what youre getting with broc every weekend, may i say sort of like dungey, but a step down. I think hed be a good addition for ktm. Better than taking a random chance on barcia (whos been inconsistent the past 3 years) or a 250 guy, the 250 guys seem inconsistent lately as well.

From a recent interview it sounded like KTM were looking at only two riders next year, and possibly back to three the year after.

So Tickle for next year, then try pick up a top level rider the year after. Maybe Webb/Bagget, or a 250 rider?

So no rider has ever had their contract bought out?

Shit, do I really need to esplainn it?
Roger is waiting to see if Honda cuts Kenny. Of coarse they would be nuts to, but let's take a stroll down memory lane. They cut R.C., and M.C. in their prime (when they weren't injured!).

Bogle is beating Tickle in points right now by 5 positions. Just saying. However, I'm not sure of Bogles contract right now.

Also, does Husky plan on keeping 3 riders on 450s? I bet one of those guys (Not JA) joins KTM squad. Probably the easiest deal to make.

Speaking of Husky. Is Osborn staying in 250s another year? Great fit at KTM. Already trains with Marv.

Ha ha. But seriously, there is no one even remotely close to being able to take Rogers position. He's just going to have to keep going.

They've already discussed it, he won't be bought out and brought over.

Wrong
Ian will take over for Roger. Dungey wouldn't want that Job, even if he was qualified to have it.

They had the best rider with Dungey. The KTM certainly didn't solve Trey's problems, and I can't feature Marvin winning a title any time soon unless Tomac gets hurt and Kenny can't come back. The bikes are fine, but I don't really think their track record makes the factory KTM look superior to the other factory bikes.

Get Tickle for next year and then make a play for Web and try and pry him away from Yamaha once his contract is up. Thats my guess.
