Left Dean Wilson and JS17 off the list since they will miss some of the opening rounds.

Since Eli is probably the overwhelming favorite leave a comment if you think he won't win it.

If he does win, that would be the first three-peat since RC4!

Edit: Forgot Zach Osborne! Geez. If you think Zacho will win leave that in a comment and vote for 'someone else'. Sorry Zach!

Tomac. Would be cool if Roczen comes out swinging though.

I wonder if Eli wins if he’ll want to do the MXoN? I’d respect his decision either way but I think I’d rather roll the dice on a speedy inconsistent guy then an uninspired Eli racing that event.

Let's be honest. NOBODY expects Tomac to lose this title. Certain people may have their favorites, but Tomac has proven he's the fastest US rider in the outdoors. It isn't really even close.

If Coop has a SX hangover the first couple of rounds, I think Eli will build a points lead that he’ll hold on to. That’s assuming he doesn’t have any more bike problems. If Coop comes out swinging, it will be a dog fight between those two. Everybody else is fighting for third.

All my opinion of course, just like everyone else. I’m just excited to see some real MX.

I voted Tomac but I think Baker's team will give a good run at many races.

He said he wanted to do it again. And since its a sand race he might be extra excited for it. He likes sand

It's going to be a consistent Tomac, or any of the others. I don't think an inconsistent Tomac can win this year.

Everyone is acting like Tomac has it in the bag... that's BS.

He didn't finish too high above Musquin the last 2 years. And Roczen, before his horrific injury smoked his ass by 86 points.

Tomac is almost a lock to finish in the top 3, but giving it to him is silly.

Other than red buds mechanical he was pretty solid last year

You seem to forget Eli was recovering from his own horrific injury at that time along with adapting to a brand new bike and team. Whistling Until proven otherwise, Eli is the favorite at this point.

This is pretty heavy recency bias.. but Cooper Webb will be a force to be reckoned with. He has the conditioning and bike to run up front. The other piece of the puzzle is his ability to go fast.. and we have seen him do that outdoors on a 250.

Tomac or Roczen could move into #3 or #4 all-time 250/450 wins list this season. ( Yes this list is BS since it doesn't include 500 wins)

I'm going out on a limb and saying that Musquin will redeem himself from all the bad choices and luck that he had in SX.

Baggett is the one guy I think can hang with Tomac straight up speed wise and had a great SX season. He's the sleeper of the favorites coming into this.

I think Coops got this as long as he sticks to jomommajoddyjobawledhedgranny's open letters part 1,2, and 3

Eli in a series that he somehow manages to make much closer than it should be. He'll win the most races and more often than not be the fastest guy. But Eli gonna Eli and keep it interesting.

Last year Eli was solid and would have wrapped it up early but his bike broke while leading with a couple of minutes to go. That was 25 points lost.

Last year 'Eli being Eli' blew people away with some all-time classic rides.

That was the first moto at red bud, correct. But what was going on in the second one, he crashed multiple times and couldn't deal with the first moto disaster, right?
Eli is definitely the guy to beat, but he has to be there every race, i think it's gonna be a lot tighter. I'M SO HYPED, let's hope we get a good and injury free championship that comes down to the last moto in ironman.

Interesting that four people think Dean Ferris will show up and win the National title. That is more than think Barcia!
