I knew these numbers were going to be impressive, but damn. Nobody will ever come close to these numbers outdoors.

125 Class
Top 10 - 38 (97.4%)
Top 5 - 35 (89.7%)
Top 3 - 33 (84.6%)
Wins - 26 (66.6%)
Total Races - 39
Average Finish - 2.6

250 Class
Top 10 - 86 (97.7%)
Top 3 - 84 (95.4%)
Wins - 76 (86.3%)
Total Races - 88
Average Finish - 1.7
If you scrap the race that he DNFed, which resulted in a 38th place finish, his average finish is 1.2

Overall
Top 10 - 124 (97.6%)
Top 5 - 123 (96.8%)
Top 3 - 116 (91.3%)
Wins - 102 (80.3%)
Total Races - 127
Average finish is 2
For fun, if you scrap the 38th place finish, his average finish is 1.7

Oh yeah, and 10/10 on championships.

Cool statistics. It really is impressive how dominant he was.

I would like to see MC's Supercross percentages to see how he compares to RC outdoors

I only took MC's numbers from 1993-2001. His first year of 250SX up until he was dethroned. After that, the numbers really drop off and he never got a win after that. The numbers are still amazing, but not touching RC's numbers, even with excluding a few seasons.
9 seasons and 7 championships. 2nd place in the championship in '97 and '01.

Total Races - 139
Top 10 - 136 (97.8%)
Top 5 - 126 (90.6%)
Top 3 - 121 (88.9%)
Wins - 72 (51.7%)
Average finish - 2.5

From 2002 thru 2007 RC only lost 5 races and one of them was a double moto DNF where he crashed out of the lead. He lost two to Windham in 2003 when he was on a two stroke vs 4. And he lost three in 2006 to Stewart, with crashes involved in all of them.

I think James' numbers in the 125 class are better, but no one will ever touch RCs 250/450 MX #'s!

James won 28 out of 31 races in the 125, finishing 12th, 6th, and a 7th in the other 3 races.

Off the top of my head he lost the second motos at Unidialla, Washogal 03. Washougal 06 (crash) Glen Helen 06 (DNS). He had a few off days in 2000, 01. High Point 2000 comes to mind. Hangtown moto 2 2000 is arguably is worst dry track performance fading back to 4th. Red Bud 2000 Seb swept em. Washogal 01 Windham won both motos. 2001 he had a lot of shitty first motos but killed em in Moto 2. Those are the ones I know of, I'm sure there are a couple more.

I'd like to see Ryan Villopoto's 250 and 450 career numbers-wise. He never lost a single outdoor championship that he finished, so although he raced less races his numbers have still got to be unreal. Obviously RC's perfect season boosts his out of the water though

RC's MX #'s are ridiculous & don't think I'll see another person dominate like he did with 2 perfect seasons & 10/10 on the championships. A lot of people don't know that he lapped the entire field at a mudfest moto with JS7 being in 2nd place. For me besides the 2 perfect seasons that was really impressive. He is the GOAT !!!

Thats insane, simply never losing an outdoor title is so mind boggling in itself, the stats combined make it unbelievable.

Listen to some of the quotes in this old vid, its a fav of mine:

Absolutely incredible stats. Especially when you consider who he was up against. Prime Reed, prime Windham, prime Stewart all got destroyed outdoors by RC.
