The way I look at it, a brand new bike is a brand new bike. It’s worth is what it is worth to you. I get a new bike every two years anyway. If you maintain the bike well and spend a couple hundred bucks on new plastic and tires when it’s time to sell, it will make you that 200.00 back and then some. If it looks new, you’ll get more money out of it.

I’m picking up a 2017 RMZ tomorrow for 4900.00 dollars. I’ll re-gear it and throw on a Yoshi pipe and be just fine. I’ll still be 1500.00-2,000.00 better off than buying a 2018 Yamamaha or Honda.
Good for you. I think you had decided to buy Suzuki way before even starting this thread as your profile picture is 2018 RMZ250. Please post up good settings for the fork if you find one as those were my biggest problem with the bike.

Looking to get a new 250f soon as well. Probably around April late March. I’m 6”3 170lbs and I think the kx250f suits me best with ergos and that sale price of $5250 Wink

Just go the spring conversion kit and save yourself the headache. I was talking to my mechanic the other day about maybe picking up a left over kx450f cos they are damn cheap at the moment. He said they are a bargain but he refuses to do revalves on the air forks anymore as no matter what he does a spring fork conversion is better.

$700 over here and he said they are worth every cent

You mean Interstate Cycle? I’ve been there a few times. I used to work for Trek Bikes at Cool Breeze Cyclery that was about .5 mike from there.

I actually bought the 2018 RMZ 450. Spring forks great engine. Turns on a dime. I’m happy. JGR is doing my suspension for me. Ordered a Yoshi RS-4 for it. Going racing!!

I have sat on all of them on the show room and
To me the Kawasaki feels the most comfortable
I just love the way it feels .
Honda 2nd most comfortable
Then ktm, then Suzuki
To me the Yamaha feels tall

I’ve owned several 250’s and 450’s. However, at 6900.00 OTD for a brand new 2018 450 was stupid to pass up. My 2004 YZF450 cost more than that.

2018 KX450's are selling for right at 7K OTD around here. Even less if you don't have to pay sales tax where you live.

Yes, the RMZ was in Statesville and still in a crate. It was supposed to be built and picked up today. I put down the deposit and had to drive right by JGR on my way home. I stopped in to pick their brains about the bike.
