And how was it?

Hit my local Tucson track, and had a great time.

I did a solid 6 lap moto towards the end of the date, and felt really good. I have been battling arm pump since coming back to the sport last October, and have finally "got over" on it. Concept 2 has been my savior...and amino acids also.

How was your weekend? Where'd you ride? How'd you do?

Sandridge mx chinquapin nc. It was ok. It's a sand track and it hadn't rained since Monday and it's been hot all week. So it was either really deep dry sand or sand so hard it was like concrete. I jumped a jump I hadn't jumped before so it was a good day. Only fell down twice, once was off the track. The other was the front end pushed in the loose sand when I tried to cut down out of a fast corner.

I rode Mountain View yesterday, first mx of the year. The track was dry and in awesome shape which was a pleasant surprise because it rained a lot in the last month and MV usually takes a long time to dry out. Got to try out my new heart rate monitor, revalved suspension, and Rekluse clutch. And I'm taking today and tomorrow off work to chill out. Life is good.

New track here in Michigan called Twisted Mx. I planned on going to both saturday and sunday open practice rides but I was sore as hell after saturday, as it was the opener for the season in much of the midwest.

Raced Budds Creek in the Masters of MX series. No minis (50, 65, 85, schoolboy), less classes, longer moto's. no quads. cool series.

Not trying to be a dick. Did you get your motor back? Never heard the resolution there.

I raced cross country this weekend. Got 6th out of about 15. I was hoping I could have gotten closer to the top but I practiced too much Saturday and wore myself out. Oh well. Live and learn.

Raced at Burleson MX on Sunday...

The morning started out good. Overcast skies, and cool weather

Then the rain came, as practice started, and didn't let up much the rest of the day. Here's my bike after the 1st moto

And me

End result

Took 30 minutes at the power washer to get all the big stuff off. I'll have to wash it again to get all the small stuff.

But I got a plaque, so it was all worth it! Wink

Coyote MX in central FL. 3 tracks to choose from and 2 peewee tracks. Sand track was sweet but got rough quick. Clay track was the deal for me most of the day. Doing some MX cross training for hare scrambles.

I took my kid to an undeveloped piece of land in Carlsbad, CA. As near as I can tell, the infamous "Carlsbad Freeway" downhill used to be right about where he is stopped in this picture, before it was flattened into business lots.

Rd # 5 of the AMA West Harescramble Series @ Shasta Lake, CA.

Finished 8th in class B 50+...not my best, but we'll take it! Lap #1 missed a turn, lost almost 10 minutes playing catch up. Lap #2 had a close encounter with a spectator.....took a soil sample....survivial mode to finish!

Will do, they actually didn't get to prep it much so it was really nice early in the morning even.

Lake Elsinore on Friday. Main had more mulch on it, so it was less slick I heard.

Cahuilla Creek on Sunday. Always a blast there. Never a bad day!

I ran the Masters race at Budds as well - my 3rd year running the Masters series. I agree, very cool series. I ran 2 classes and put 1.5 hours on my bike (excluding practice) - even though I lost a lap in every moto due to being passed by the A class riders we stagger started with. More than enough track time for my out-of-shape 53 year old body. I wish we had long motos like this back in the day. I can remember 1 1/2 lap motos at Budds in the late 90s.

Plus, Budds is always fun because Jonathan Beasley treats a race with a bunch of old guys with as much enthusiasm as he does the pro National. If you've ever seen Jonathan on a National weekend, you know that's a large dose of enthusiasm.

And you loved every second of it! lol And don't pretend you didn't.

Here is my bomb run from that race...I ended up crashing about 5 miles into the second loop (about 40ish miles into the race) and broke off my front brake lever...it was disappointing to toss away such a good start.

Yup, nothing I like more than sand whoops! Sick I think my old, fat body just about broke from that one.
