Seeing the field is not deep. Where would you place him. Me thinks around 15th-20th.

Not sure how much he's been racing, I know he's been a fixture at the vet mxdn the past few years so I said top 30. Making the gate at 50 something would be a hell of an accomplishment.

With the depleted field I wouldn't be shocked if he made top 10, would expect a top 20.

53 years old, would be a hell of a achievement. Be tough backing up the second moto on a hot day.

After 50, the “I want to” factor starts fading!

He just raced the Vet race at Southwick yesterday and wasn't "King of the Vets" (Robby Marshall was) nor was he top 3. I think Dowdy would qualify but not convinced he would be top 20. His son Ryan usually beats him now and Ryan was in the 15-20 range last year at Southwick.

He raced last year on the 2 stroke and went 23-25. I know he's been busy with his track building company the last few years so he doesn't train as much anymore. He still rips though. All of these guys still rip hahaha... it's crazy. Lorusso, Dowd, Treadwell, Johnson... it's insane how little they've aged on the track.

of the guys I just listed? I don't think any are. Maybe Robby but I'm not sure. Johnson runs the track and Dowd does the plowing. I know Ryan Dowd is racing the 450 again, and then I'm sure the other local guys like Phelps, Canning, McDonell, and maybe Brooks will be there among others.

I voted Top 10...but really should have put Top 20. You can't outgrow the skills that Dowdy has, but the body ages & sense of timing slows down no matter what.

94* 30+2's...Top 20 just because he's JYD.

Robby posted on his IG that he is running and is on the 450 this year. He's also been racing MX a lot more than past seasons leading up to the Wick so with the current 450 field it should be interesting to see where he ends up.

I know Phelps is hurt, brooks isn’t doing it this year I don’t believe. Canning, McDonnell, and Ridel are all gonna be there. Robby on the 450. I’m sure there are others that I’m forgetting but there should be a good handful of local dudes out there this year
