Any of you guys remember the strip mine somewhere near Corona where Healey and others used to go "big" (what was considered big in the 90s)? I think they called it white sands. Anybody know where that was exactly? I'm guessing it was close to the SX test tracks.

It was down from the PC/Kawasaki track and about a 1/4 mile or so from the 15 freeway toward the mountains - there are houses now where it once was - like most places that we used to ride back in the 80s-early 90s

Theres a park off Eagle Glen off the 15. It was across the valley from the park. They leveled all the 100ish foot tall hills around the main pit and filled it in.

Man I miss that place. The local crew was so solid back in those days. Get out of school, load up the truck and rip a few hours before the street lights came on. So many beers on top of that burnt car. RIP White Sands

Moved there in 86. Rode it till the end. It had a bit of everything. Hardpack, sand, rocky, kinda loamy in spots. Cliff jumps, huge peristyles and step ups. Big singles from the mounds on the entrance roads to block people. Some of the parties were huge.
