Where is Steve Lamson now?

Just watching old races from the mid to late 90's, and I forgot for a second just how much of a badass that Steve Lamson was. I realize this may be a dumb question if he is still in the industry. I just don't know myself and figured somebody on here might know.

He was the team manager for Star Yamaha a few years ago... not sure what he's up to since then...

I think he is just back in Nor Cal doing some motocross schools, but I have not heard in awhile.

Man, I remember meeting him in 95 at the Honda of Houston team appearance with MC and Doug Henry. Seems like yesterday.

Wow, hard to believe it's been 30 years, but hung out with Steve quite a bit at Mammoth (1988). The quietest, humblest rider you could ever get to know.

Somewhere buried in the archives of some videos I used to take, I have Lamson, Kelly Andris, Tallon Vohland, Jon Nelson (among others) battling on a great/winter day in late 1987/early 1988. It was the 250 Pro class at a local race here in NorCal at Sandhill Ranch. Steve on an '88 YZ250 and Tallon on an '87 KX250 (probably a hand-me down as he has mentioned...from his brother Tyson) Awesome, awesome racing. Steve would have been 16 at the time...Tallon 15. ...and not to be a spoiler, but Andris led until the last lap!
