Where are you RACING this weekend?

The AMA has appointed every state to have a single race state championship event. This weekend, Bar2Bar in Wichita is holding the Kansas State race. It’s a fun sand track in a flat cornfield with safe jumps for all skills to enjoy, a resident flag crew in pink shirts, and a promoter that genuinely cares about ensuring a good time for all.

Bruce Richardson, the track owner, has decided to try a unique format this weeeknd where practice is run Saturday from 8-12 followed by first motos after an hour break for prep and staff hospitality. Sunday morning racing resumes for second motos.

There are Oklahoma and Missouri State series races, both within 4 hours of Wichita so I’m anticipating about 250 entries. Thing is, the AMA has a LOT of required classes for these sanctioned championship races. It’s like 36+ classes are offered... if I was 30 (in a few days) I could ride four money paying classes. So it will take a little while to run through the weekend schedule.

I'm riding the prep train this weekend, since endurocross is coming to Reno next weekend and I need to get all my crap together/prep bike, etc.

Good luck at the state race. I like the idea of running the first motors on Saturday to speed things up Sunday, that should help get things done at a reasonable time.

From the couch to the fridge and back. Honestly, Jeff, I barely even ride in the summer here. It's just too hot and humid for this old dude. This is actually the first summer I've taken off, and I'm afraid it won't be the last. Good luck to you.

No riding or racing for me this weekend. Kids are sick and my wife and I have our 10 year high school reunion tonight. Hopefully in 2 weeks I’ll be riding for my birthday!

Othg at riverfront. Racing 30 master and two stroke exhibition race, rode twice since mammoth but feeling good in practice today for a lap or two...

Good luck man, ride smart!

I'm personally prepping my bike for next weekend's practices at our GP track. I can't afford to go racing and truthfully don't have the ability to get more seat time than i already do Sad

Sandusky valley riders. Both of my boys are racing and I'm pit crew. One in 65cc on the big track the other in 50cc on the pee wee track.

Just wanted to report back... the two day format is AWESOME. I had everything loaded up and listening to the chiefs game in my truck by noon, collected my payout by 12:15, it’s 1 and I’m at Jason’s Deli. I will forever promote this style of weekend now. So sick.

The one day Moto format sucks. Just finished 1st motos and it's 2:50 PM... Gonna be a slow Monday at the office for me lol
