Him not competing at rbsr pretty much puts the nail in the coffin if you ask me.. if he does I can't blame him, the guy has probably had a ton of concussions and getting out of the sport while he's safe. I just don't see him competing again.

Oh but James sent a letter to the AMA asking to keep his #7 because he plans on racing in 2018. LMAO
Lol.. if he would have raced his weekend I would say he's in for a1, but he's been incognito for so long.. like I said you can't blame him he has a kid and probably wants to be safe.
If he's planning for A1, I would not expect him to enter mec or the sbsr. He would be hid away, getting in the best shape of his life, and would arrive with maybe an announcement 1 month or less from Anaheim.
James Stewart is the man. I have more respect for him than any other rider. No mater how he chooses to go out, I will forever speak highly of him and wish him the best. At his best, no one ever went faster than James Stewart has.

Never disrespected him, in fact if he is walking away I think it's extremely smart of him. (Has a kid, successful company, healthy) I think that last hit where he and dungey got together may have done him in. You only have 1 brain..
The week leading up to A1 is my guess.
I have no problems with it. James has given us all plenty of excitement through the years and he has a family now. I'm sure the time away has made him understand that there is more to life than racing and risking your life on the weekends.

When was this? There is a Suzuki in the back ground , so I'm thinking last year? The year before?

I believe that was posted before the 2017 SX season so late 2016. JS7 definition of "soon" is a lot different than the rest of the world seeing as everyone is still waiting.
"Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower."
I hope he comes out and says something eventually.
His real fans want to celebrate him and show appreciation. The guy was unbelievable on a dirt bike we can all agree.
The retirement news will come when we hit 2 weeks without Stewart threads on Vital. If it ever happens...
Just curious why you think he'll announce it prior to A1 2018? He's already been gone from the sport a long time so has already had plenty of opportunities to announce it. He sent a letter to keep the number 7. Do you think he did that just for the hell of it? I think it would be cool to see him do a few outdoor rounds like RC did next summer. Not going to hold my breath but still would be cool.
He's earned his retirement and doesn't have anything left to prove to anyone. In a way I'd rather see him step away safe than come back and struggle like the last few attempts he tried.

It is the same as your type of opinion in these threads, are very redundant. We says to many times, don´t enter in this thread, thats easy, but you can´t do it, every time comes and make the same type of opinion, you are the redundant, and redundant, and redundant, and more redundant, very redundant
Insider near me says he crashed pretty hard a few weeks back, that probably solidified his retirement. After being told that, I pretty much stamped it in my head he won't be at the races, unless it knocked him good enough to light the fire back in him, but even then we are still so far away from A1, that fire could go out next week.
