That is awesome!
I like the guy running the lathe at :40, no safety goggles.
How about all the topless pinup ladies on the shop wall at 3:13.
The crowd at the race is bigger than most Nationals today.

I found a video from the 1949 mxdn held in England as well, the track consisted of WW2 bomb craters that they were jumping in and out of. Not a single f given.

Rode with Jeff Smith when he was probably nearing 40 and us guys in our very early 20s. He was legit then on a Can Am. Had nothing for him. Didn't really realize who he was then.

Not to mention the long sleeve shop coat.

don't know if that's the Titanium project bike. I went to the museum before the fire however many years ago it was. The titanium Project bike was leant against the wall behind loads of other stuff. Probably the trickiest thing they had just tucked away in a corner. shame that is...

I might be wrong but I think it survived the fire. Yeah it has full a full Titanium frame among other things, it's sort of jammed in so you can't get a proper look at it.

Look at that track, it’s beautiful. They don’t know what they missed out on. Real natural terrain tracks. Fantastic to ride, and great to watch. I love real Motocross. How has it all gone so wrong?

Our Viper series over here uses natural terrain tracks at some rounds.

There's still racing on natural terrain, it's just called off-road instead of motocross.

Another gem from the same YouTube channel:

Hmm, was hoping for a thread on a great era in MX, when dudes didn't thank Jesus after winning a supercross.

To be fair, Hawkstone Park never really changed much. In the 80s and even 90s they look like the pay booths...and definitely the disgusting toilets...hadn't even had a lick of paint.
Even now the track is pretty much the same lay out but with just a few table tops chucked in.
