...starts winning races and championships, what will the haters do?

Are they going to give all of the credit to the rider and still hate on the bike, or will they finally give the bikes a little credit?

I'm just curious.

I think he is referring to the fact the KTM has won many races and championships, they're just in places that most Americans don't know exist (Canada, Europe, etc).

Watch out for KTM, in a short time they will be THE number one team in the AMA-Series!
Just like in the GPs!! They are really serious about it right now!

I'm sold on the KTM's the 144 is the most fun you will ever have on a bike. For starters they are still putting money and effort into R&D for the two strokes, all of their bikes come with Quality components, i.e. Renthal Bars and sprockets, Twin air filters, for the two smokes V-Force reed block, and graphics that will ever peel off the shrouds. If I remember some one posted up where over seas they sold a race kit that came with all kinds of extras. I don't see why more people don't give them the credit they deserve, they specifically concentrate their product on the moto/off-road crowd.

I'm shocked at how anti-KTM so many American riders seem to be. Its almost as if guys believe the big four are American made or something. I can't wait to see KTM turn things around out there too.

Perceptions are a scary thing when you make them up.

I doubt you will regret it! Ive been on my first KTM for a little while (almost a year), and love the bike.

Also...didnt Grant Langston win a 125 national championship on a pumpkin over here? I think it was 2003.

All I need is a 150sx and 300sx, fuel injected, and husaberg-style engine configuration, and I will cash is my mortgage for them.

Damn. A KTM500cc two stroke would be enough reason for me to start training again. I would love to see that happen.

I don't get that either. I went from a YZF to a KTM, and loved it! Our practice track behind our house developed all new lines in the corners because I was able to cut inside all of my old lines. I have zero regrets going to the KTM and that will most likely be my next bike as well.

They'd probably build one if the demand was there.

Unfortunately I don't see it happening. They quit making the 505SX for a reason I guess. Although I would buy one of those in a heartbeat as well. I guess you can still get the big bore kit for the 450 right from KTM in various sizes.

I'd buy the 500 twostroke before the 500 thumper though.

Go to a D36 cross country here in Nor Cal.

Half the field is on KTM atleast.

I have ridden KTM's over the years and just never liked the feel of them. But I have not ridden one in a few years. I did ride a big four stroke a couple years ago and it was pretty nice.

Pretty sure my next bike will be the 300 xc.

I think a hurtin is coming for the original big four!

ktm has owned the 65 market forever here in america. i guess they finally are ready to tap another market in the bigger bikes. what does suck over here is the lack of ktm shops, almost everything is bought via the internet and most cool parts come from europe

It's always the rider, not the bike. They make the bike specs just for the riders. That's why you see the same guys winning over and over again regardless of what bike they are on. (think RC and JM)

Are they going to give all of the credit to the rider and still hate on the bike, or will they finally give the bikes a little credit?
