Wheels question

Has anyone tried these wheels from eBay? They are KKE rims and hubs. I have never heard of them at all. They said they where a factory and make many brand wheels, that KKE was just their own wheel. I Was thinking about trying a set for my rm250 2-stroke to replace a bent wheel. I don't race my 2-stroke just ride Moto for fun on it. So wasn't wanting to spend big money for a new wheel set. Any info is much appreciated!!

They look exactly like a warp 9 hub, which is a good thing. I've got a complete warp 9 rear wheel that I use as a spare for my two stroke. All it sees are rocks and hard enduro type shit...works well.

Haven't heard of them but cheap wheels just makes me really nervous.
Best bang for the buck is using your stock hubs, getting a good spoke/nipple/rim
kit and lacing them yourself. It's really not that hard, just take your time.
If I can do it, so can you.

I would bet almost $3.50 that those are the exact same thing as the Tusk wheels, sans the logo.

You can go on alibaba right now and order 100 sets of them with your logo on them (which is what Im sure RMATV does).

Not discrediting the quality of Rocky Mountain, just saying that I doubt these are any different

I just got that exact color combination for my RM. I bought mine from Keith over at KSR wheels. He's an awesome dude and the stuff he sells is about the best there is. I went with Haan hubs , bulldog spokes and DID rims. When it comes to wheels...you truly get what you pay for. I know they usually cost twice as much as the Ebay wheels....but you take a chance buying things like that. And Keith stands behind his products.

Talk to LanghamMX he would be able to tell you if they cross over at all. I believe the rm and rmz wheels can swap over, but he would be the one to ask. If they do cross over, the tusk is a great option. My dad has had a set that he ran on his 15 RMZ and took them off and put them on his 17. Had zero issues and he rides 50+ expert. Havent had any issues with the set on my YZ450 either. Going on 2 years now

Most of the wheel shops are selling rebuild packages that will get your hub bead blasted, new spokes, new excel or DID rim, laced & trued for like $500. I think Dubya does Cerokoting as well if you want it. If you have them press in new bearings we're talking a brand new set of wheels that look good and won't taco the first time you flat land something.

Yeah, I think I paid $550 to Dubya for Excels laced up for a YZ465. It was like a 3 day turnaround too.

06 RMZ wheels might work on the RMs. Not sure if there are different offsets in the wheel but the hubs are the same but I would bet they will work.

I am a FASTER dealer now, Collin is a great guy. Like Dubya and some of the others mentioned for close to that same price you can get a great rim and spoke combo on your factory hubs. I am not knocking the Tusk wheel, no experience with it. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for, long as you know that going in get what you want!! Enjoy!

Buy faster USA if you want complete wheels and great service. The hubs are made in America out of American material!!!!
So, If your spending good money you might as well spend just a little more and help out the local economy. I got a complete set "with tires of my choice " shipped to my door for a little over a grand.

Front or rear that's bent? You can save quite a bit of money DIYing it, and the skill is great to learn for future upkeep as well. It's nice to have two wheelsets for quick changes, practice/race sets, etcetera, but you're already past that convenience with one hoop out of commission...Factoring in the price, how hard you ride, what the intended use will be, only you can decide if it's worth taking a chance on them.


Also, for reference, $600 gets you something like this with your OE hubs:

By the way: Exploding hubs are usually user error, even solid OE quality ones will go with improper chain loads or misalignment...

RMZ hubs are different than RM, cannot use 4 stroke hubs/wheels on the 2 strokes.

I was going to say the same thing , loose sprocket bolts. The only downfall with the cheap rims is there heavy, I have a set that's been ran all kinds of nasty stuff with flat tires for 2 hours and I still use them.
