WTF people! What's the deal with that super lame trend. They did it at A1, same at A2. A lot again last night. Ridiculous, so unsportsmanlike, very lame, made me feel I was at a wrestling meet and not a moto race
Shenzi.. The title to this thread should of been. WTF is up with all the morons booing any rider at a sx? Unfortunately a moron is born ever 1 sec and some of them end up at a sx race. Those are the same morons smoking weed in the stands. When I was walking around at the Seattle sx during the freestyle expo w/my young daughters i saw 4 morons smoking pot and booing CR when he was by the starting line.

That's some seriously altered weed if it can make you hate someone.
Too many people have no respect for anybody - should have to sign a waiver before entering a sx saying that unless I have an ama pro licence, I cannot boo.
crowd booing usually happens because the team/rider is not the favorite most popular team/rider. as opposed to reception the fan favorite usually gets because of his/her/team popularity.
therefore we can deduce that reed wasn't the favorite most popular rider on saturday night....we can also "assume" that windham was the crowd favorite.
it's a cheeseball deal by the fans that's for sure...but reeds a man...he can take.
yeah, umm, Las Vegas is in Nevada last time i checked. and before you decide to post "well most of the crowd is from socal", how would you know unless you were walking around checking id's? maybe the booers were all from that shitbox state illinois?
That's what people do. They cheer their favorite and boo their adversaries, happens in all sports. Are motorcycle riders exempt from that? Just political correctness creeping more and more into people's mindset.

What do we expect it's not only So Cal.Supercross is now marketed to all booing trash with stripper chicks with sign boards and beer bonging and other BS in in the pits.Supercross welcome to the big time.
As many races i been to i seen anaheim boo rc and chear cr. Then the very next weekend phoenix boo cr and cheer rc? Fans are fickle. They booing cause all the have seen of reed was his pass under js as they both went down replayed all season. They dont remember that in jan 09 when reed was challenging james at the opener the crowd was exploding in cheers for reed.
There are many fans. And there are many uninformed fans.

come on, don't try stuff like that. You been to Vegas SX races no? The crowd is mostly SoCal and out of state and a minority from Nevada. Did you fly in a helo directly or walked through the parking lots? The vast majority at LV SXs is from SoCal, especially with the pit bike races on Friday drawing a lot of kids from there.
IL could be a "shitbox state", why not, but there's no booing at St Louis, Indy, Red Bud, not like that.
I was there and did not hear any booing where I was shooting from. There was a good vibe and everyone in the crowd seemed happy...

oh yeah for sure, great atmosphere in general, crowd super happy with racing, but the booing was pretty much there, in the Intro Ceremony and a second time later when he was announced again, not sure if it was Heat 2 or before the Main,
From where I was sitting in Industry seating it was pretty easy to hear them, and 3 other friends who were in different parts of the stadium (one opposite of IS and another one by the track under the press-box).

Unfortunately Shenzi, I live in this "shitbox"? State as well. There was booing in St Louis. I was embarrassed. Reed got more boos than everyone else during opening ceremonies and his heat win. Stl always seemed to be split in half with James and Chad.

Shit, my bad Zycki, I was in st Louis too but never heard any, seating in Industry seating. I thought the Midwest crown was more behaved

That's why they booed him.

Seriously do we need to illustrate to you how dumb the residents are in your home state? Are you so thick even you don't know?
Carry on.
