One minute it's "KTM factory support," the next it's Matthes hinting that they may not be around. Anyone know what's up?

More problems than just KTM support. It looks like Witt is out and that may possibly spell the end.

Bummer for Les Smith if true. I was looking forward to seeing what he could do on a good bike next year.

I hate to speculate as I have yet to see a press release, but anytime you hear about a "passionate guy fronting as much money as necessary to have a competitive team" you have to be skeptical. It sounded like the team banked on Witt most of the year. These guys didn't get rich by dumping endless amounts of money on things they are passionate about. There has to be a business case and some sort of ROI. We've seen this so often over the years. It would make a good Racer X Story.

Just asking, how does JDR do it then?

Ding ding! The jay kid that runs Jdr his father owned what I believe was the largest fence company in Australia (they did the fencing for the 2004? Sydney Olympics. I believe I saw in an article the company was worth like 800 million or something when he sold it...

Wow, that happened quick. Had a huge factory rider signing at Langston Motorsports right before Elsinore.Unsure

Sure hope Grant can pull it together. He sure sounded awful excited about 2013 on DMXS.

Sucks for Grant! Hope he can figure it out. He was out at Pala today ripping on a KTM 250SX....... no doubt burning off some steam.

Grrr... I hope that's not the case here. We didn't have these kinds of problems back in the day of the huge Factory teams. Everyone wants privately funded teams, but this represents the downside of that - 'passionate' rich guys coming and going while treating our supposedly professional sport like a personal playground.

Can we just go back to this, instead?
