He was fighting for wins last year. Now Tony is gone and they (Gasgas MXGP team)having new gen bike he was running 10-15 places last GPs and fading. His teammate was in same boat. Whats up?

He hasn’t been the same since his crash with Herlings in Germany last year.

Gone from being the 3rd guy in a team, to it all being on him..

Big pressure.

He has been awful now for a while.

Bike issues, no secret. Poor bike setups in the long run gets you pretty demotivated. Since they use every weekend as a test weekend, i guess he quickly lands in "we did not get it right this weekend either" after Saturdays quali race and he just cruises through the weekend. Championship done anyway.

Yamaha swept the podium. Will be interesting to see if they can redo it on hardpacked in France.

Also it isn't a real secret that he isn't really happy with DeCarli his way of working, comparing with Greubels who runs the real KTM team.

No idea, if I'd have to guess I'd say it's the bike. Apparently he had some issues after Covid but that can't be the only problem - it's not like he runs top 3 and then all of a sudden drops back like Kenny. He simply doesn't have the speed, even on a track like Lommel... Must be a confidence issue as well by now and it's reflected in his starts.

You have to ask Herlings and Nagl why they wouldn‘t be in that team!!!

any ktm or husky/gas gas rider has seemingly taken a step back with the new bike and doesn’t seem like much of a secret this year, especially hampshires interviews

It seems like Dungey is the only one to make that bike look decent this year. Makes you wonder what he would be doing on the ‘22.

Any Euro members know what Jorge’s contract status might be for next year? Wasn’t there some rumors a couple of years ago about a buyout clause in his KTM contract and Yamaha wanting to sign him. Seems like that got real quiet pretty quick and he has not looked very happy since then.

Cairoli said in a recent interview that it was more on Prado than the bike.

Bogers won a GP and Yesterday the first race so the bikes are okay.
And in the first race Bogers was almost a sec faster.

You can ask Pauls Jonas if the bikes are fine. He is back on a stock OEM shock and linkage from last week. If they where fine - that would not be the case. AP was running 48mm forks instead of 52mm at Unadilla.

So i think it is a bit easy to say in general "bikes are fine" also knowing that they test different frames more or less "every weekend" according to JT.

He is a bit strange, but same as Prado. If you get a new frame, and switching shock or fork setup for every moto or weekend it is not easy to be consistent. Stability seems to be an issue, but he is not allowed to run a setup he thinks could work accoding to himself.

Boggers is in the old bike. The new bike sucks. It's pretty obious Prado and Jonas don't even fight anymore, just testing.

Bogers on old bike? Thats bold as he was testing new bike before others year ago. His bike seemed to work ok yesterday. Even MX2 rider Vialle is all over and fighting guys he gapped last year by minute but again those guys are on old bike so maybe new bike setup is still not found.

Because he didnt want to be in a team build around Cairoli?
Cairoli isnt there anymore & Prado was right in the title fight up untill his Germany crash last season in the same team.
Prado might or might not be happy in the team, i don't know, but it's not like you cannot perform in this team.

I just have eyes. If it's the new bike on old bodywork i stand corrected. I understand Vialle used the old motor the races he did not suck and now is on the 23 again. I even heard Jonas used the 22 a couple rounds and ktm fined the shit out of him back to the 23 but its 100% hearsay.

No real info on the subject, but very interested in the topic. Hopefully we will find out more if some of the riders involved starts to ride for a new team? I want to add that Cairoli looked horrible on the new bike in the US, but there are so much difference between mxgp ama rules so it’s not worth anything in this discussion perhaps

Horrible?
An retired old man who is not well prepared as he use to be scores top 5 finish and had 3 or 4 hole shots.
Las van Berkel a top rider in beach races scores between 30 and 20 if he is lucky.
