Do they all race in the same main event or is it like before, the qualifier is the main then have the shoot out ?

Looks like separate qualifiers then combined main event.

this could get interesting, of course the sanctity of the sport might get tarnished.

I'm not starting another chase debate but it's interesting seeing how much excitement it brought last year having the finishing order rewarding points for both coasts.

I personally loved it. Sure, it wasn't as pure as the previous format but it gave the race a whole new level of excitement.

In the past they line up for East main first moto and then west main second moto and then later the combined.
No heats.

You are correct. This was how it was done in the past. Now it's an east heat and west heat to one combined main event which is where all the points are handed out.

I like it better. The guys actually have to care about the East vs West.

Hmmm...unspoken team tactics may come into play. I'm pulling for Osborne but Hill could help Savatgy. Davalos is a good starter. Mc elrath is flyin'

I cant wait.

Based on where they finish period. Kinda sucks when you have a championship coming down to the last race, but what are you gunna do?

Yes it's kind of stupid to mix both coasts and hand out Championship points for both series combined.

Don't like it. I prefer the old way.

Really? I can't see a downside, as a fan this is the clear best way IMO.

This is 100% the best way, the shootout is where the points are handed out. Awesome.

I like the new format! The East vs West race counts. It also makes the final points a bit unpredictable.
Regardless of where they are in the standings, the bottom line is that every rider has a reason to race their heart out.

Yes, it's called pride and bragging rights! If he races (this does seem to be the throwaway rd for riders with nothing to gain), he'll be racing for the W. Then everyone can really speculate, should he slow to help Savatgy...Whistling
