I've tried so many grips in the past and all of them gave me blisters but they have been no where near as bad since getting my new bike. Now the oem grips are wearing out and I need to replace them, what's the closest grip to oem yamaha grips

Have you asked your local Yamaha dealer?

I love stock Yamaha grips. That being said I usually run Renthal mids.

Just get stick Yamaha grips. I have bought two pairs off of motosport in the past couple years. Go to the OEM parts and order up!

Yeah Yamaha grips are great. Always bought them from my dealer after the ones wore out that were on the bike

ODI Black Half Waffle lock ons are a good grip, stock on KTM. I love them.
Those aren't stock Yamaha grips, not even close.

I just run stock grips. They’re a bit more expensive than aftermarket ones but they sell them individually so if you tear one in a crash you don’t have to change the pair. Plus they last a long time.

Same. But I am glad they work for someone! I am sure your local Yamaha dealer can order them.

The Renthal firm is the closest I've found to Yamaha OEM.

Having owned several Yamaha dirt bikes, I can help with this. Get those mesh cheese graters and have them wrapped around your bars and tack welded in place. I'm just kiddin'. I like stock Yamaha grips to be honest with you. I always thought most people hated them, but I see from reading above that is not the case.

And yeah, you can just order OEM grips. Heck, I almost ordered some OEM Honda grips for my 1987 CR125 project. They actually had them at Rocky Mountain on the parts fiche and they were in stock. In the end I went with Scott grips that look pretty good. Have never tried them, but I like the way they feel. Bike's not done so haven't ridden with them yet. I love the lock on grips, but they are not made for an 87 CR and haven't been able to cross-reference any other years to the 87.

Worse grip ever made? You haven't tried many grips lol...
The OEM grips on my 19 FX are pretty good, but I'll replace them with lock-on grips because glue sucks.
