It's not A1.....it's not Hangtown....it's not MEC.... it's not any GP.....there is only one race that combines the best from multiple series, brings out national pride...is raced on multiple continents and tracks....and generates more excitement and passion from the fans worldwide.....It has to be the MXDN. Too bad some people in America don't get it.

All 3 races were great.
If the Daytona Group gets serious about moto, imagine 20 3 day events at the NASCAR facility's around the country, flat track, street, dirt, enduro, freestyle all in the same place. The tracks are definitely always looking for more events to create revenue. F1 track here in Austin would be an awesome place to host a race.
This upcoming MXGP has to be a partial test for them

i remember totally different reactions in years the USA won time after time and all the hype around it on the internet
so A1 , a supercross only raced in USA with 95% riders from USA ... makes sense as a US fan i quess
A1 might be industry hype night, but fan sentiment it's the MXdN by far.

Its like saying the first game of the year is bigger than the superbowl .
No points paying regular season event can come close to a winner takes all event.
There is no event like the MXoN .. because of what is on the line.. SX races is just points.. MXoN is a chance to write yourself in to MX history , to be that guy on that team that on that day delivered against the best in the world.
I sit up till 3am here to watch A1.. and every other SX , and the nationals, go to as many GP's as my race schedule allows , and watch all the ones i dont get to.. nothing even comes close to the tension that that is released at the first gate drop on sunday morning of the MXoN.
I would go as far to say that the artificial hype around A1 is what causes guys to spend 3 months getting ready for it.
Its not needed, guys are burnt out before the season even starts IMO..
Is it time to follow other sports and introduce a testing schedule like WSB, MotoGP etc that limits days guys can ride ??
i know that sounds nuts, but think about it.
From the last race of the year (MEC) .. you have a month break. no races , nothing. If teams want to test stuff, they use a test rider, and the designated rider can train , and run an hour a day at a designated facility just to stay in shape,
From then you allow so many days/hours testing prior to A1 agreed in advance, and stick to that.
It cuts costs, stops the big teams gaining an advantage just by having money, it works in MotoGP and WSB fine, and it COULD mean that guys get a break , that they apparently so desperately need , because they are too busy to do the MXoN, but not 3 months of testing.
Obviously we wouldnt do it over here , our guys dont grizzle about being paid to ride , and actually having to ride.
