I like a lot of different gear. It's hard to chose. lol I just bought some Fly Lite Hydrogen and AStars Techstar stuff, but I can think of one set of recent gear I wish I could buy. Something about this Alias set just did it for me, but I waited to pull the trigger and it's gone now.

Personally I think they all make some nice stuff and some not so nice stuff.

Why are you asking? Trying to impress that lady of yours LOL.

Riding gear is like judging a freestyle contest. It's all subjective. Do you want to make a statement? Fly (no pun intended) under the radar? Colors will hit people different ways. What one person can't buy fast enough will make someone else throw up in their mouth a little.

It's all subject to fashion and the whim of the moment. You could point out some gear from the 80s that looks like clown puke, and some people would absolutely love it. These days, the look is a lot simpler and more refined. Don't like that? Just wait a year or two.

The TLD polka dot gear from earlier this year is a perfect example of that. Some jump all over it. Some want to burn it. I like going to the track and seeing all types of gear. I rock vintage stuff every once in a while to lighten the day up a bit. The LBZ post was for laughs. Not my preference.

I think almost every company has a few nice sets of gear in their line up. Seven, Thor, Fox, Shift, TLD, Alias. There isn't really a company where I like all of the sets. Most of the time I wait till a gearset I like is on sale and then I buy.

The gear that Hansen wore for RBSR was cool.

|

10/24/2017 12:33 PM

I’m gonna have to go with TLD for having the widest range for choice.
Fasthouse for having the coolest style.

Anything that's last year's stuff and on sale. I can't imagine needing to buy the latest gear at current prices. It's not a fashion show to me.

I haven't paid retail for any gear in years. I agree.

Alpinestars, but unfortunately it's only about 20% of the time. The other 80% they make the worst looking.

Alias looks really good and my bank account agrees. I just got this stuff in.
